Thank you guys for your comments, it really means a lot!
As for the things pointed out by vincegamer, I think it\'s more about the matter of personal taste. The color of mane and tail, socks, shade of the blanket, etc. Say, the horse -- I painted it after I did some research on coloring of different horse breeds, and i just happened to like this one the best -- with socks and greyish mane and tail.
There is, however, one thing I do agree about -- perhaps, the banner would indeed look better if there was a trim. In the movie, the banner actually did have a red/gold trim. I tried to paint it, but for some reason thought it didn\'t look right, and got rid of it
Anyway, always valuable to learn differen opinions, so thank you!
As for the competition at GD, well, I must say, I got the feeling that the LoTR cat is moving closer to the standards of the two other single mini cats. This year the judges picked not only superb paintjobs, but miniatures that had a twist to them, you know, something unusual and interesting.
