No wonder poor little Jonny keeps getting knacked! :D

That and he\'s English (bunch of woofters really, lucky you guys had the Russians and Yanks on your side in WWII :D )
And the ANZAC\'s weren\'t?

We thought we were but really look at how many of us the English generals managed to kill. ;)

I once interviewed the New Zealand Maoris Rugby League side during my journalism degree. They are pretty heavy drinkers to say the least, but I\'m proud to say that I kept pace with them admirably despite a severe bodymass disadvantage. Oh, and one of them ended up banging my housemate.

Not that that interesting little story has any bearing on the World Cup because it\'s Union isn\'t it?

Er, France for the win.

Have to go with EvilMonki here, NZ will win, beating France in the final.

Not if we get some more of that going on :

Got to love those northern French men :D

That dude\'s certainly not a bloke you\'d wanna be messing with. The playful little pat on the head after he\'s absolutely steamrollered Masoe is a nice touch! :D

Only one reply to that rubbish :D. Think some French turned up to this game, but it didnt matter.

And you lost, badly lost, the game from which you show some footage. Badly lost the other games in the series as well...

I just never like to back the favourites, especially when the odds are as pathetic as NZ\'s are, because it\'s barely worth a punt.

So I\'ll go for some 7/1 action rather than 8/13!

Coral are offering 6/1 on SA... not a bad price at this stage. I reckon they have a good chance.

Actually just checked and BetFred are offering 13/2

I just stuck a bit of cash on France because I wanted to make things interesting. Oh, and I knew it would really upset my Grandad if I bet on them! lol

I\'m certainly not a rugby expert, and to be honest I really went off it as a sport after NZ tried to snap O\'Driscol in half during the 2005 Lions tour and weren\'t punished in any way by the governing body. Just lost a lot of credibility for me when they allowed that to be a part of the game. It\'s not something I wanna see in sport.

Footy is my game ultimately (sorry folks!) and I like to think I know my stuff there, so it makes more sense to put any remaining cash in my gambing fund into that.

France playing like incompetent, uncreative amatures then. Wicked stuff, my interest has already begun to wane!

Bit better since the changes, chabal is making a bit of a difference :p But got to say they aren\'t at their best level..... hopefully they can pick up the pace.

Ooh, well, France have to beat Ireland now or it\'s over for them. I thought Chabal was going to kill someone when he was prowling the touchline.

Sorry frenchkid, that\'s probably my fault for backing Les Bleus in a financial form. If it makes you feel any better I am down £5. That\'s a whole 7.36 EUR.

Crikey... France just did an England

The Argies played that really well. The French seemed very disorganised. Well done Argentina!

Where has Laporte tucked away all that French flair recently? They\'re more anglo-saxon than bloody Gallic! What a great win though. The argies did everything right (apart from a few too many garryowens). France had naff all to show. I think they froze in the face of a huge physical onslaught.

The local pub was packed here. A great way to start things off. I have drunk more shandy tonight than any man should, what with a 7am start tomorrow. Sleep beckons...

Ha ha ha Nice upset there! Interesting that the organising committee would put the hardest game up first? Never mind, a bad Argentina game against one of the other teams and france could still top the group.

Aye, but they play Ireland at the end of the group I thought. They can take it a bit easier till that crunch match now. Argies for the QF!

France, Argentina was a great opener. France were pretty poor, which I found quite dissapointing as I love the way the French play rugby, where was all the flair :( Having said that Argentina were very very good.

NZ were about as dominating as I thought they would be, Italy played pretty well after a very nervy start and they did show that NZ will give you the odd opportunity and you have to be able to capitalise on them.

Watching Aus Japan now, should be very one sided but interesting to see how good Australia are.

Bit worried about England USA, I hate the way England play rugby and I really hope they can put in a decent performance and score some bloody tries for once!

NZ lost a bit of form towards the end but often happens when you are that far ahead.

Nice kick and chase by Jerry Collins
