I think England will scrape past Samoa. I\'m off to the Cayo Arms in Cardiff if anyone fancies it :D

England do have a better running set up behind the pack today, but I think everything hinges on what Samoa want. All the right words have been spoken by them this week, and playing England could be the cathartic work-out they need. It could be very close but, as with matches like this, it\'s a tough one to call.

Ireland have done very badly so far. Chatting to my Ulster buddy last night, he feels that team reached its potential a year or two ago and have started that long slide back to mediocrity. I thought the same, but it was a bad time for me to mention it!

N Hemisphere rugby is currently tired, boring and lacking in endeavour. We\'re getting left behind again.

England - Samoa was a cracking game to watch but didn\'t entirely fill me with confidence that we\'ll go much further. If we\'re up against the Aussies (which looks likely - Tonga permitting) then Mortlock will run rings round us. At least I\'m not getting my hopes built up too much.

Agreed. Thought it was going to be very close at one stage. Especially when Samoa looked like they might score when England were still in the 20\'s.

Am gutted I missed the SA vs Tonga game this morning. My housemate decided she didn\'t want to watch 2 games in a row so we put Anchorman on instead (genius), and then she slept through it anyway ::cussing:

Sounds like it was a great game. Being English born with Southern African parents it would have been a great days rugby!

I caught the last 10 minutes of the SA v Tonga game. really wished I\'d made the time to watch more of it. England definately improved today but there are still big problems. The kicking game was not good today; but hopefully that was more down to Wilkinson being a bit rusty. There were also communication problems, with players not really being on the same page, which caused a lot of problems. I think what saved England was the fact that Samoa hit the 22 points mark again. It seems that\'s bad luck for Samoa in the RWC vs England. 3rd time now they\'ve lost with 22 points on the scoreboard.

We just ain\'t good enough. Maybe it\'s the tri-nations on a roll after their tournament and us having phoney wars ahead of it all. Don\'t know, but we\'re crap.

Well, England seem to be playing decent rugby so far. It\'s certainly not flawless, but a few players are begining to show they can play. Tonga are still dangerous. Should be a good second half.

England look like a different team when Wilkinson plays. Only caught the second half, but he\'s sprayed the ball about really well and set up some decent attacks.

Only Tonga mind. Not long since we were hammering them by a hundred points!

England managed to keep playing pretty well all game, and even Farrell scored a try. Tonga have come a long way in a few years. Most of their players play professionally in Europe or Japan now. And let\'s not forget, they came within a bounce of beating South Africa. Let\'s hope this is the springboard England need to move up, and not what has happened over the last four years and fail to be consistant.

A much better performance from England really. Sackey\'s first try was excellent and it just goes to show the extra dimension that Wilkinson brings to Englands game.

They Mauled well and looked like almost a completely different side from earlier in the tournament. Tonga had a terrible kicking game but it didn\'t look to me like England really capitalised on that as much as they should have.

They seem to be building momentum and are definitely improving every game. Enough to beat Australia? Hmmm. Only time will tell I suppose but I am definitely feeling more positive, if England can play to their strengths who knows. Will be a real tester though :)

England have been steadily improving game on game. Another week\'s training and they should be better still. Thought they played well against Tonga who\'ve had a good tournament.
We\'ll raise our game against the Aussies... but then again, the Aussies will raise theirs.

Should be a good match up.

Bit of a shocker. I was looking forward to seeing the Welsh blow the French away in Cardiff as well.....:(

Bit of a shock really. But Fiji played really well and it was an excellent game.

Gotta feel sorry for the Welsh, let down by the kicking in the end. Hitting the post 3 times and missing that penalty right before half time really scuppered them.

Quite impressive the number of groups that have come down to the wire in terms of one game deciding who goes through!

I only caught the second half of the Wales v Fiji game. It was a great game to watch. From the scorline at half time and some of the comments by the commentators it seems another rather lacklustre performance in the first half could have been their downfall.

Fair play, I wish I was neutral. That was something else.

I\'m not neutral though, so feck it all! Gutted. We\'re mediocre, simple. Egads!

Chwarae teg, the boys deserved it. But why did we play into another team\'s hands again in the first half? We\'re shite!
