I\'m definitely attending and desperatley working on something for the comp - just a quick question that I can\'t see an obvious answer too on the Salute website... Are there any rules regarding bases for comp entries like their are with the GD entries?

Not really, as far as I remember from previous years so long as it is a suitable base for the figure(s) in question then it doesn\'t matter who makes that particular base or what it is made from.

As far as I know there are no restrictions.
Its a much easier going competition, with all makes and types of entries.

Really looking forward to it. My bank balance won\'t be though.

I noticed Avatars of War have a stand as well, so they are somewhere else for me to spend my money.

Yipppeeeee

Looks nice and clear to me mate, have you tried looking at it whilst sober?

I should be going dopwn to Salute as well (As I\'d already discussed with Talonicus), and will probably be wandering around in my OZ Painters T-Shirt. Would be great to meet people and chat but appologies in advance for forgetting who\'s who and who painted what, my memory for names is lousy :D

I\'ll be entering the comp with some of my more recent stuff, but not expecting to manage anything new between now and the 19th, got a couple of pieces to do by the end of April.

I\'ll also bring some of my other stuff along if people wanty to have a look.

At the show, it\'s easy to give away the minis I don\'t want but does anyone want this light tent and lights? It\'s a freebe but if nobody wants it, I\'ll leave it at home.

So, if you\'re going to the show and want a little light tent, speak up ;)

Cheers,

Joe

what minis have you got?

Just a few I got to have painted but decided later not to bother... nothing special. by the time of the show there will probably be a few more in there and maybe one or 2 taken out so i can\'t comment.

My brain hasn\'t worked right since I don\'t know when! :drunk:

I\'m not spending loads in the short term now... i\'m having a work break and have 5 minis still waiting to be painted or arrive.

Damn cash for not growing on trees!

Hey all;
I\'m pretty new to the site, only just noticed this and was considering going, but I\'ve never been before ... any suggestions on what to look out for there?

Also, any suggestions on what would be the best way to reach there from Liverpool street station?

The actual show isn\'t very big and I guess you could look at most of it in no time at all... my main advice is to get in there and talk to people. There are loads of really interesting people there who were really enthusiastic about the hobby and really great to talk to last year.

Bring plenty of cash but no bank card is my other advice - It can get expensive :D

Watch out for that talonicus bloke - if you see him, rob him, steal a big green demon mini from him and bring it to me lol

I was a first-timer last year and was amazed at the sheer number of companies I\'d never heard of selling minis and bases. But best of all were the people giving away free pieces of slate :flip:
