The reason I asked is because in some places the shadows look a bit grey and life-less. What I do, when I paint skin, is to shade with a very dark red. I use VMC Cadmium Maroon (also called Black Red, I think). This colour goes very well with regular skin tones and don\'t produce any weird, greyish or greenish tones. The result is warm looking shadows. Then, if you want to desaturate shadows or make the skin look colder, you can shift the colour by glazing greens or blues or whatever over it.
