SCULPTING-works in progress

For the wings I drew a template for the \"bones\" then made 2 wire armatures for them. I then made a GS sheet and put the flat armatures on the GS then cut the sheet to shape. When cured I bent the wing shape then sculpt the bones and texture on one side. Leave to cure then sculpt the bones/ texture on the other side.

You\'re getting awfully good at sculpting, Mark! I really like the first little thing... the animal sitting on that log! The demon also looks promising!

Thanks Anders. There\'s a lot of practicing going on. The small critters are for a range from Crunch Waffle called \"Tall Tales\". Mythical stuff and folklore creatures etc. The demon guy is actually the Jersey Devil. Got a few more on the way too.
Im having fun with my entry for the Heresy competition. I think you guys will love it.

Just to keep the thread alive ;) Here\'s something I\'ve been working on this week. Got the new BT Chapter Upgrade box, very nice amount of bits:D Made this BT High Marshall in Termie Armour with a plastic Termie I had lying around. I can\'t see much sculpting in the scan, but I actually filled some huge gaps that where there after replacing the normal Termie chest with a Crusader one. Some more BT bitz to pimp it all up and this is the result:

I\'m to a friend of mine(the one the Libbie is for) on Sunday for some nice wargaming and he\'s going to take some piccies off the stuff I did in the last 9 months. I haven\'t updated my gallery here on CMON all that time and it seemed I dropped about 800 ranks or so down:(

Thats my favourite one yet. Much prefer the legged ones to the snake look. I think his hand looks comparatively small though. Sweet weapon.

Hooray, 50th post, halfway to becoming a \'member\'! :bouncy:

Here is a WIP of mine, my first sculpt, a Cathayan Dragon. I know he is not very smooth... my green stuff was very old and the yellow had gone into little lumpy bits :~( I think I have posted him before, but here he is again anyway :)

and here are his eyes after undercoating... please bear in mind that they are only 2mm across!

This is what i do on my free time, is just a little personal project. for some time now ive been planning to sculpt a 54 mm miniature, and this is what ive done so far, pretty sure you know what it is :)

the head will be rised a little, and there is a lot to do but im really happy so far, specially with the proportions and the muscles (had alittle help from a friend there)

im making it for myself but if they ask me to do it i will do it, would live to see it casted

but as i said its not in my hands right now, as far as i can tell there is no plans to cast it yet

New picture, not the best photo though. a lot of work has been done, and the details are atrating to build up quite fast, hope you like him
