Granddad!
return to Orion...

not done anything on this for a while...

..primarily looking for advice on his right arm, I think the triceps are still too small.

@mick: Looks great so far, is that the new Orion, or the older one? The link works for me. The author is Stephen Rogers Peck and the book is titled Atlas of Human Anatomy for the Artist. Hope that helps.

That was my initial inspiration for them.

There wont be fingerprints when he is finished.;)

@Mick. Looking good. Face is spot on but I agree the triceps need more bulk. Also noticed the furr on the legs. Its very hard to get a smooth transition from the metal to putty. I would totally cover the metal on the legs with resculpted furr.

yeah I thought they did, the more references I\'ve been looking at, the more they were looking smaller & smaller

I was thinking about redoing the fur, I first did that about a year after he came out

...well,....you can\'t rush a good job can you lol lol

good work mick. don\'t bulk the tricep up too much though!

i am currently working on a giant. i wanted to use bits from the gw one as it is well sculpted. i just prefer bulkier giants. going to make him a chaos giant (maybe with proper hooved feet) and going to have him swinging the masonry about with both hands like a flail. i think scibor did a similar pose. intend to make him slightly disturbing with maybe extra rows of teeth and a nub-tail. he is going to have loads of scars and piercings as well as war paint and trophies:

you can\'t see it very well in the pic but he has a forked tongue (i wanted it in his mouth as it seems more subtle this way)

@Matt: thanks, it\'s now on my amazon wish list :D

@FIAC: Nah, just a wee bit bigger, trouble is, I keep looking at the bits I did ages ago and thinking... \"I could do a better job on that now...\"
oops! nearly forgot, giants looking good, nice smooth work

Pfff... That\'s so freaking obvious I don\'t feel like answering;)
Will he have the scruff beard and psychopathic expression?

lol i considered to sculpt him also sitting on a parkbench :D but the snot running down his nose wouldn\'t be so cool... the greasy fingerprints smearing shabby clothes are quite cool anyway :D:D:D:D:Dlol

Brushlicker and Freak!
Go the Tull :D

Nice work here. Triceps are a bigger muscle than biceps, they just don\'t stick out as much.
