I wonder if the speculators have learne their lesson and this will finish much lower dollar wise.

What should they have learned? Ok, few backers had problems with missing items and there was this GenCon Sell Desaster, but no real problems.
It looks like they started a better communication. Emails are normally much faster answered, now.

Personally I do not like all the exclusives and hope that there will be less exclusives.
I hope again for an main game and an addon.

I would not be unhappy if Zombicide S3 would get 3, 4, 5 or 10 million, it only means they would need more Waves to produce and send all the stuff.

I would only prefer an extra Addon or more if we have again a high pledge amount and not 100 more survivors... Even if I like to get more of them.

No I hope it does well too. And I agree about exclusives. I was referring to those who only buy to sell for extrememly high markups on eBay. There were always be some but I hate to see people pay so much just because they were broke at the time of the KS. That is an old arguement here and I am not trying to start it up again.

Somewhere there is going to be some poor soul that believes that they really are rare figures and will pay that ridiculous price. I already feel bad for that poor person.

not 100 more survivors...
Someone made an interesting observation to me about Season 3 and exclusive survivors today.

Ok, so we know S3 will have 'team play', right?

This means it would almost certainly hurt retail sales if there were lots of exclusive Survivors in the S3 campaign.

Let us hope that CMON and GG have realised this too!

(although I wouldn't dislike more survivors, I would like to see something else, and poor retail sales would harm the game for everyone)

It would only hurt retail sales if there aren't a bunch included...if there are plenty in the retail box, it doesn't matter how many exclusives there are on top of that

I remember reading somewhere that there would be 12 survivors included in the season 3 base box.

They said it last year in the Designer Note #23.

2-3 four-survivor-teams are possible to play. Do you think there is an expansion with possible 4-6 players? Which would be together with Zombies a Slaughterhouse...

Actually, with 12 Survivors you have loads of different options for team sizes and player numbers.

For a start, in Designer Note #23 they basically state that not all players have to control the same number of Survivors. And there's therefore the implication that maybe not all teams have to be the same size.

So with 12 Survivors, you can have anything from one to twelve players, and anything from one to twelve teams!

I'm not sure how many different combinations of player counts and team sizes that is, but (even if teams do have to be the same size) it's lots.

I can see boxes of 6 non-exlcusive survivros, like the dog boxes.

I'm pumped for season 3, and I haven't even played with TCM all that much yet.

Exclusive survivors drove up the KS totals a huge amount for season 1 and 2, and I expect no less for season 3.

My only wish is that they come up with something more original than 50 new Survivors. The season 2 Kickstarter was just sad to follow. And the finale underwhelming.

I care for a FEW exclusives, for sure. But I couldn't care less for 100+ Survivors.

New Zombie Type
New Style of Game play
Each player controls teams
Hospital Map

Considering how massively successful the Season 2 Kickstarter was, I think your intepretaions of it being sad and underwhelming are misleading.

But with 30 Survivors, there would be more interesting skill combinations to play with. This would be another option to make every game different.
I don't want another 50 or more Survivors, but 20 - 30 would be very nice. Especially if they are again similar looking to TV- and Movie Stars

Many Backers forget that there are not only Boardgamers interested into this game. Many Wargaming and Skirmish Gamers are interested in Zombicide because of the Zombies and Survivors, too.
And why making a miniatures game and not providing them stuff to paint and play, too?

And why anouncing already during the Season 2 KS that S3 will be all about Survivors and having many survivors will be useful for season 3?

The answer to that last question is just as likely to be "to quieten down some of the people that were repeatedly asking 'why do we need all these Survivors?'"!

And, I don't disagree with you.

I do think, however, that there are much better ways for them to get more Survivors into a much larger number of people's hands than by making another 20+ exclusive promo survivors for the Kickstarter.

The Guest Artist packs, for instance.

However, my main point was that 12 Survivors in the Rue Morgue box does not mean you won't be able to play with 6 players and use the Team Play rules - just that you will be limited (without other Survivors) to two Survivors per player (and within that there are various ways those 6 players could join their two players each into teams (because it appears that a team will not have to be 6 Survivors, it could be two, three, four, six, eight, or one hundred).

But even if we just consider 6 teams of 2 that still leaves an incredible number of different team combinations.

I for one would still be very interested in more exclusive miniatures esp with the new PVP mode. I love the whole movie character identities. Imagine if we could get the likes of Stallone or Schwarzenegger! Field them as a team.

Well, Season 3 has already burned past the 500K mark of the 100k funding, with the inevitable extra runners/walkers/fatties and survivor/zombivor add ons. I guess they'll start to make the strech goals 50K and 100k soon to slow down the bubble, but how many more look-a-likes do we really need, especially if you have missed the early seasons bonus figures? TBBT group is a bit pointless if you don't have Dave... I like the new sculpts and the new additonal dynamics, but really are we just going to get more of the same from this and future releases? Maybe Season 4 should just be floor tiles and scenarios with maybe some 3D scenery? I'm in for the basic games and MAYBE some additonal tiles, but doubt I'll buy any of the extra figures this time around.

...but who am I kidding, eh?
