I had a good look at the face and skin tone in general and can\'t really find any fault... it\'s a really solid job and I like it a lot.

The hair actually is what stands out to me... it\'s spot on and really frames the face.

I was thinking about having the skin more tanned but being a red head that wouldn\'t look right at all.

I think you\'ve nailed it.

A couple of areas in extreeme close-up do not blend as well. She almost looks dirty or bruised on her right thigh. The \'normal\' shot looks good so I am just writing it off as over-zoom.

The hair is stunning! I also really like the front of the wings, the face, toenails and the base.

The skin overall I think is a bit weaker than the face. Seems like it needs a bit more shading, or maybe some glazes of slightly different colour tones to give it a bit more life. The highlights on the back of the wings are a little streaky, and it\'s not so much that that looks bad as that it doesn\'t fit in with the smooth shiny approach on the rest of the mini.

I\'m scoring this an 8, but a slightly better finish on the skin and back of the wings would easily net a 9 vote from me.

wow, such a positive response! im glad you guys like it. im sure some areas could use some work. i was a little afraid to add to much variation in the skin (i thought it might be too blotchy), but ill definitely push the envelope next time. i also completely agree about the textural elements.
im more than happy to post my hair techniques if anyone is interested.

Do post them hair techniques, that\'s my favorite part of the model I think some subtle shading on the skin would\'ve made this lady a 9, the rest looks great but the skin is a bit flatter than the rest of the model.

I really suck at skin, or else I\'d be giving more advice. I\'m never happy, so I try something new every time and it never works out quite the way I expect

Lovely! The wings and hair are eyecatching. Skin needs a bt more contrast though to go with the rest. The thing that lets it down a bit is the back of the wings. But still it\'s really really good. An 8 from me too...
