Thanks so so much guys!!! I couldn't believe the arena rex first place win over two very talented and competetive multi crystal brush winners winners Elizabeth beckles and Anthony wang(who's bust earned him a bronze this year! Whole not a ton if entries the ones that showed were all well accomplished painters who've placed in crystal brush in past years. And the funny thing is is that what they were doing was painting their entries in classes taught by kiril and other great coaches , finishing it up while getting coached and then when the class was over they ran their newest painted models over to arena Rex's case. This was not against the rules so I saw this and counted myself out. To my surprise I placed first fair and square and almost passed out. It was great. And if any of you guys know the big names in the craft today look at my finalists and see what kind of company I was in with. I also almost passed out there too. I really enjoyed this years comp and had much paradise from Jennifer Haley continually telling me the top painters in the world were blown away by my BAAK and my Orc unit. They lived em. Can't get better than that. Onward to next year.

Heres some photos me with VICTORIA LAMB(the pioneer of OSL) ,two of miniature paintings QUEENS( mrike Reiner and Jessica rich,past check winners)rafaelle pica and Matt chewizsch,who seemed to enjoy my steve-o inpersonation.and my BAAK next to Ben komets giant magic turkey (that's the exact name of his entry)and a pic of an entry that did not even make first cut so I figured I share them with you guys. It was a favorite of mine since I saw it and def picked it to place over myself. You just never know anyway the "FOUR HORSEMAN" famine ,death,pestilence, and war...beautiful minis and never seen them before.. surprised anyway sometimes there is no rhyme or reason for how they see things but more of what grabs them.and then the arena Rex this is what it looked like when it cleared out a bit more there were quite a few models ide say bout 30-35. Now the funny thing is because they mucked up the rules people thought you could enter units ..what the rule was meant to say was -" single models or groups of models set up in a diorama!" So any body who brought a unit they basically gave you that many more chances to win .so I had 3 so I had 3 chances to win whatever they thought was the best.as you can see I was against 30-35 figures set against Anthony wang and Elizabeth heckles as well. The second place winner was another crystal brush award winner two years ago...so I was really stoked to get ahead of all these credited folks.especialky when I didn't feel I had any chances.
