It doesn't surprise me at all, Google fantasy football miniatures and just see how many companies have manage to keep going since gw cancelled it last time, from a gamer perspective you buy one team box and you're good to play if you know someone with the game box or if the store has it set up, it was always my favourite be game because it was simple to learn (which was great because i was 10 or 11 at the time) but difficult to master. From a painters perspective you get familiar races in a different setting, the game is just goofy and proud of it like that new troll model throwing a goblin
Goblin team would be interesting too since they cheat horribly and sneak chainsaws and bombs on to the pitch (see... Goofy!). There used to be 4 elf teams so it will be interesting to see which ones they release first
Edit: i would hope they release the rest in plastic just from a price viewpoint, but i worked on some lotr resins from fw for a commission and they were much better quality than gw finecast
