I really wish to try a marine eventually... I had started a Kranon last year but i put it with the abandon projects case. I have great ideas, another thing I have painted in my dreams and did not have time to realize.

Note on the artifacts: They are 2000 y/o now but on the guy they don't look like that right? Maybe on a undead.

Uh I had no choice held at bolter point all they said what if you paint him they will come .. Come to think of it I never understood it in the movies and I still don't.'.. Yeah thanks so much to everyone krule zabs my Canadian Sioux chef teronus. Let it be known that in this last project I've done before this marine I was iffy at best painting marine due to the blending layering that needs to be done on their large flat panels. Anyways as I started half way through every single thing from how much pressure to use when feathering the edge to how dark I should go(I went all the way down to black) even the stepping method of how each layer takes up less and less space like shingles on a roof. Everything about blending even about the light and shadows placement ..., it all clicked on this marine. All the explanations of blending how light plays off circular objects and dissipates as it approaches the underside all made perfect sense. iow guys this model was an ah ha moment for me. That's how we improve each of us at our own rates and own scenarios etc. this was a model that I learned the most from in a ling time. Now I know exactly what it means to say that.SO LEEP YOUR BRUSHES WET GUYS AND KEEP PAINTING ALWAYS PAINT WEATHER PRACTICE OR GALLERY BOUND JUST KEEP DOING IT AND YOU'LL SEE THE LIGHT SWITCHES GO OFF IN YOUR HEADS HERE AND THERE. I'm now a tad but more in control and now have a fairly good understanding of 2 brush blending. Thanks to all you guys and the forums.your all golden!!

Now for a progress shot. My goal was to be as neat as I possibly can while some things need to be refined and I have an extensive list it was the armor and how light falls on circular objects that I've chosen to practice on this mini. If this was going into a contest I would paintv3 or 4 getting better each time and pick the best one this strategy has helped me before on The Lord of the rings large monster category in Canada where I painted 3 tree beard models and each time gotten more and more used to each part of the model ex the blending the HL/shade placement etc. here's where we're at

Here's another shot of the force weapon. Overall the model is an achievement to me as far as the smoothness of the always practiced 2brush blending technique. It's actually very fast once you get the hang of ohh boy that means ill be pumping out models ..... Faster is this even possible.;$

You have my eternal respect and friendship bro! I want one of those in my cabinet and you will also get one of mine one day LOL. I have faith man you will be under the 100's sooner then you think and that will not stop there. I am happy that you have your style and I have mine, I am giving it to you bro give me all the time you want and I will still not beat you in speed at that top notch quality. Your a strong steady painter and I am the dreamer, you spend most of your time frantically painting and I am spending all my time staring at my mini. I am telling you man your much a painter then I am me I am just a big dreamer.

Golden boy is in cabinet until Thursday, I am presently doing prep on some of my projects for 2015, Golden boy starts to get to me so I need a break from him.

Rem ter my values brother I paint seemingly fast cause all my time is devoted to well you guessed it starts from the minute I wake until well just now for today ex I've been at it since 9:10 this morn that's almost 12 hrs . Other folks have real lives and jobs me I'm disabled as heartbreaking it was to know I have become a crippled yet I'm in a much better place now I just started painting researching and oh yeah dreaming so no one can ever tell anybody what dreams can't be accomplished your an ex what impresses me more than the sword is winning first place that second year in a row in the UK that tells me something way beyond dreams brother. So take your time dream big and soon my only other person I'm that top 100 will be yourself as well. Don't time stamp yourself do what you can when you can. After all it's worked for you so far. 2gokden demons and a sword ...not to shabby and I don't wanna hear it was 10. Years ago painting hasn't changed that much my supreme chef.. Lol just stay with it and ill be keeping an eye in ya to make sure nothing takes ya away this time. Love ya joc . Keep in going.

It's 2 years after, And I wanted to return for 2001, I had already started a dragon, turn out to haunt for the most of time until I got really sad and trashed it last year.
I keep all in boxes for 10 years until I opened the Pandora's box in 2010, I kept that unfinished dragon all these years until i had a bit of a tantrum and in a some kind of spiritual ritual i just got rid of it Yep I still got that idea floating for a "eventual" dragon. Oh yeah i had 2 new full sets of GW paints and every single one of them was desert dry even the inks just everything.

It's important to me to prove to myself that I can still do it, the simple fact that i tough i had lost my ability to win awards. I am telling you you get addicted to those things. Yeah the Gold in the UK in 99 was a fantastic experience, The VIP tour of the studios and shop in Nottingham was like man you fall on your butt!!! Talk to all the folks there Jes Goodwind and all the great ppl of the time, the display cases !!! The other winners as well was there for the pictures for white dwarf. Yep you get addicted to those things !!!

I found a pillar in you and looks like I am supporting you as well, I am really endlessly grateful. That is what i was dreaming about and BAM!!! he scoop me up LOLOLOLOLOL
