Keeping a very limited PALLETTE this way the face (focal point) stands out very discerned!! I'm still not happy Sammy my corgie destroyed the back so I'm really using this as a test model for a way of getting used to these chibi style models!! Stay tuned folks...

Here is the chibi I did not enjoy painting these they suck and never ever again. Still some work but for the most part all the bulk work is done!!

And to finish off the face canny and Dave powers trick of yellow red blue on each 1/3 of the face top middle mouth nose and bottom chin were given successive thinned out glazes of warm (yellow) , warm (red), and blue grey (cool) !!!

It's damn good for a first shot at a deceptively hard style of painting! Many of those style minis are made from weird rubbery plastic that is not easy to prep (see the first 5 pages of my WIP to see samples of the prep involved on one of the SDE minis). Chibis are shockingly hard to paint. I've only done 2 in that style in all my years (Vandella and Sleeping Chibi) and they took everything I had and pushed me the hardest. I can't tell you how hard it is to keep it cartoony while doing decent blends that have to show gradients, but not look messy. You have to break so many painting rules to make them look right. That said I love the line of chibi primarches from Legendarion. Gotta catch 'em all XD

Thanks guys always wanted to try one..other than that cartoon /comic book style is Def not my preference and you all know the cardinal rule gotta pick a model you enjoy...on some other news check this out I received my invitation for the 2014 cm9n annual that will start being pieced together and I thought ide share with everybody that I've been asked to send in pics of.... wait for it....wait for it...FIFTY MINATURES FROM MY GALLERY.LAST ANNUAL I WAS ASK ED FOR 9...WELL THIS TIME AND I DO NOT THINK IT WAS EVER ASK ED PERIOD.BUT NOW 50 yes 50 models from my 2014 year that have scored 8.0 or better...yes guys 50 models will be going into print.if that doesn't say anything bout the consistency of my work I don't know what does.

Woooo o hooo thanks so sucheck teronus your my boy man..I cannot thank you enough when this whole crystal brush is over I'm going to paint you a nice display piece to keep in your cabinet...REM were also collectors of fine arts too. We Def will do the mini exchange ...and make it happen..and bro when I save up some money I'ma come to Canada and you and me can go to wherever your local hobby store is and show demon boys how to add acrylics to models while the girls go do whatever it is woman do I'm suspecting shopping of some sort...OH YEAH GUYS MY LIL Guy was sleeping with his Lil to Unger out so I thought it was a time to give him a big fat kiss on the snout...let's just say he had me get 2 stitches ..at first I didn't think much of it until the blood landed all over my new white dwarf issue with me in it and then I felt my nose and it was kinda hanging off so I calmly looked at my girl and with my nose covered by my hand said...uh honey ...uhh I think I need a stitch or a doctor...off we went to Morristown memorial..

Congrats on all the figures going into the next CMON annual! That's seriously impressive. I think that might be the most from one person.

By the way, it's not just Sammy. I asked my Chloe and she thinks the Chibi piece looks delicious too.

50 pieces, that's seriously impressive, BAM! That's one upper tier piece every single week of the year, not a lot of people are able to do that.

Tero, that wolf-thing is cool! I want one! :D It's Confrontation, like the orcs?

OMG that is one cute corgs baily it has the same "hey look at me I'm smiling" corgi face they all swoon us with...me and janet are on a facebook page "corgi addict" we can't stop looking at their Lil sausage bodies especially when their pups. Chloe is Def a pincher as in pinch the cheeks?so chte.Ahhh I just want to have 20 of them.lol

Congrats on the 50 pieces, BAM! Given the way you pump out quality work, next year you'll have 75+ pieces. The chibi is looking nice, I really like the way the pants turned out.

Again these are the subtle eavy metal style you'll see in the mags. The recipes are from countless of my favorite articles from masterclass series. So it's right from the horses mouth I may go down to black I haven't decided yet. Again with space marines you have to be as neat as possible with not only your gradients but with your and most importantly the edge highlights. There are other ways of painting red where pink or elf flesh is added in successive layers. I simply chose the analogous colors of oranges and yellow(averlander sunset) because its my preference. Neither is better or worse in those terms it's merely preference. Either way neatness and simplicity is my style for the emperors finest.
