Very nice! I am so bad at straight lines so I try to stay away from such patterns, you sticking to it is admirable. I will watch for some tricks you learn along the way.

I was just given sad news my BLIGHTKINGS made it and they were gonna do a few pages article on a spotlight sadly I declined due to them being a crystal brush entry yeah they always want models in my thoughts are publishings are more important than stauettes. As that's how we live on in publication but don't get me wrong Thomas I'm not giving them back either I keep my demon statuettes in the cabinet in the living room as I'm sure you do to.
green one no there are no diamond sculpts on the harlequins they are from games workshop. It's a freehand pattern that they advertise to use for this type of model.. They are basically space elf cinema clowns.. Kinda like very deadly acrobatic cirque du soleil characters. There really cool I picked up 2 boxes.
@persifal your painting Thomas is actually fantastic and I'm saying it now your just starting to win GD stauettes your going to have some collections.. Good luck and fortune to you in all you do bud..

Thanks man, Yea I know about my Fireblade in this Visions. They must be in trouble with models to fill mag, because Fireblade was reader's model of the week in the WD some time ago. I'm not amaze about it, they need a lot of models every month.

I think they get plenty of submissions every month, the trouble is that the quality of the photo's are below what is acceptable for the magazine. They put out a reminder and some photo guidelines recently in an attempt to boost the quality.

As for the harlequin: coming along nicely but I fear madness would take me before finishing those diamonds.

Thanks for the SBS on the pigment powders, BAM... Now I have no excuse not to get any.

As for the harlequin... What will GW do now that yours is better than their box art?

I have to say Persifal you models look totally fantastic, you are also a master of the brush.

Back on topic. I looked at the model again today BAM and I think your boarders of the dimonds are a little too bold in some places of the model.. I think it just needs refining a little but as you have tons of test peices I have no doubt ull perfect the pattern and be able to produce it to a flawless standard lol

I paint my thumb.
I like those harlequins models that's my favorite part of the 40k imagery ( That I know of), the checkers think became pretty much a convention I guess it does add a lot of interest.

Yeah it's actually believe it or not something when they were made that had to come up with a fast attack a I forgot who but I think Andy chambers said how about dancing clowns at the first thought they laughed at it and said okay but it's probably not going to take off low and behold some of the most devastating and so damn cool characters to ever grace a codex. And the fact that you could add all sorts of colors that don't go but still lend to the mythology of clowns is just very cool. The diamind patterns are something that also gave the renowned eavy metal team a chance to learn something new. The fact that most of those prolific painters didn't know freehand was quite a crash course as all of them had to learn it. Imagine that crap!View attachment 35066 I was Ballsy again and figured dont worry its only a test model I have to learn this by doing so I did some more diamind pattern on the sash also added some hearts. Ling way to go but here's where we're at.

I'm not happy with it it's def not the cleanest piece in regards to the pattern what I am happy with is the fact that I set my head to finally trying it , attempted it , and did not throw it in the garbage after stepping on it. So I will do 19 more by that time ill see if there is progress the only thing that would make me bout a hold on these is when my models arrive and I have to finishe then for crystal brush as for thisView attachment 35073View attachment 35074
