A lot of epic entries there, very nice. And you're right you never know who will show up and what they're bringing. But I still have confidence you will get a trophy or two. And we, the people, are half the vote and anyone with eyes knows how quality work your stuff is. We're exactly three weeks away now and I'm pretty excited. I'm a very "hands on" visual learner so seeing your works and Bailey's, and my all-time favorite painter Bohun's stuff in person will be an immense help for my future painting.

Thanks ter and fluisterwould I'll tell you Bohun is a favorite of mine and I keep thinking bout the golden demon contest where someone bought his dreadnought and then entered it and said oh yeah I painted it exactly like Bohan did.does anybody know how good you have to be to copy a work exactly the individual Def bought Bohun piece to a golden demon .real terrible that somebody wants to win that bad..what's the world coming to.

OK so a Lil talk bout the knightmare ...epic knows my style pretty well and one thing we don't use ,not that there's anything wrong with it btw, is "recipes"every model is done on the fly .BUT that being said if I do something and it's good enough for my eye,then I'll record it in a leather bound book.now ,I'll have everybody know,that the knightmare was my first attempt at weathered metals.from that point on I use this when I want to weather anything if it's metals,or fabric,cloth,or skin it's all the same steps involved just diff colors.so yes is the knightmare one of my all time favs ....without a doubt.is it going to place .?..based on last year's winners...NO FREAKIN WAY,LOL OL BUT HE I'LL STILL BE HOPEFUL IT WILL MAKE IT TO FINALS.the single fantasy /steam punk category is possibly the most heavily contested category aside the diorama.but hey its worth a shot right.

Yup that's the one could you imagine this A hole trying to justify the model as his that he copied,if he was smart he should've added a few pigments...idiotic...the only criminals are dumb criminals.especially in the miniature painting plagiarism world.lol so Idiotic.

One oistene no cash prize just a coveted statue .....the reason why everyone is fixated on a demon statuette is there are only 36 made a year and there are subtle differences so no demon is the same year to year...no money no nothing..and honestly baily right why not just copy a statuette and tell everyone you won it....these are real sorry ways to win Ide rather lose fair and square than bring a well known artists work..and I agree because you bought it on commission for 6-7 hundred dollars and you rightfully own it ,this def doesn't give you the right to plagiarize or deceive people into claiming you painted it.....practice ,practice ,practice ,it took me 15 years of finalists placings to win my first sTatuette and never did I think bout doing anything remotely like that.that is just a piss poor excuse as a hobbyist and I'm glad he's banned from golden demon lifelong.

I'm being met at the airport by a tsa representative to allow me to handle my own bag and show them these 1)fragile ,2)irreplaceable and 3)no danger to anyone on the aircraft ,after that they will be 2 bags of army transport with me in the under the seat as the army transport I bought are of the dimensions to not only get on the flight with me but able to fit under the seats.sigo of relief as losing to competitors is one thing ,but losing based on technicality of a broken model would upset anybody.

are people that f%$ing stupid that.. coping another persons work and claiming it as their own.... not only does the model have no worth at all, how can u even bring urself to enter a model like that.... when i paint an model I'm proud of; I get immense satisfaction and a huge sense of pride about it and would get a really warm fuzzy feeling about it standing against other models in a competition... but coping someone else work its pretty much emotionless and... god it just makes me so angry... the art community is supposed to be respectable and mature, not a criminal haven.... too many rotten apples in this world I'm afraid
