Whoa whoa whoa. Did I just accidentally start The Great Bam Bailey War? Oh boy. Someone get the popcorn cause this is going to be epic. As for the A game, I think you gods of painting are above us mere mortals in your painting standards so A game no longer applies to you.

Blood, do you think we should send Jen the suggestion to add a separate bust category next year? They may not want to add any extra categories, but what's the harm in asking?

Busts definitely need their separate category. There's just too many great large scale models and busts out there to lump them all into the same category.

Ha, well I don't think we've quite reached the feud status yet. =P

Blood, you can let Jen know if they do decide to do a bust category, I would enter a piece too. Although, if not, I'll do something else for the large scale category. My personal opinion is, while there are some amazing busts, it's hard to compete with bust against a full figure piece + base/scenery. I feel like the full figure has the advantage.

Ter, well to answer for Blood, every category with the possible exception of new talent. Though maybe he'll find his ways into that category too. For myself, definitely large scale, historical single, and hopefully that new bust category! If creature caster delivers (which they should) I'll have something for fantasy monster too. Then it's just a matter of how much time do I have left to see if I can come up with anything else. I've got some big plans for my large scale piece. Going to go over board with it and bring my A+++ game on that one.

Nice Bailey, can't wait to meet all of you guys, I already told my wife there's nothing stopping me to go next year. I am putting all in my monster and then if I have time I will finish the others, but honestly I only won big with a monster and nothing with singles. And LOL at the new talent joke. It's been ages since I participated in a big competition.

It's Gonna be amazing ter it's great in its own right just waiting and standing around like me and baily with anxiety spueing from every corner ill be going with 6-8 entries I just love every damn category . It's a good time . Actually I cannot think of a better time in my life that's been better! It is just a shame that its 11 months away. But in my case I never set out and say I gonna paint x, y and z for a comp. I basically paint a shitload of models and as the comp approaches I pick what I feel is worthy of being entered and then I wrap em up and tro em in the comp. I basically never know what I'm bringing . So is my A game strategy I know ill be doing a 3 man unit again as I feel I've had the most success with the 54 mm . Maybe gladiators I'm up in the air but again baily will probably be the competitor to keep eyes on as his stuff is quite brilliant and if everyone is lucky he even brings some projects with him to demonstrate. Ter I can't wait to meet you and laugh our asses off. It's going to be a memorable time. One we won't stop talking bout for awhile. By the way if the new orks come out in this next year those green skins landed me a silver and ill be painting them again if available. I CANNOT WAIT. Baily you should also do a diorama I don't know why you wouldn't with all that modeling talent.;)

Yeah, it was a ton of fun hanging out last month. 11 more is a long time to wait!

I'm with you, I've got plans for my entries... but I'm sure many things will change between now and then. I want to put a lot of effort into my large scale entry, but although I have some ideas for what I want to do, I've still got three or four potential figures I may use for the project. And one of these days I'll do a diorama for my entry. I'd just like to get better at sculpting or converting figures first.

So I got a question. Is it possible for you to enter a piece for me? I unfortunately will not be able to make it next year despite my wanting to, so I was wondering if it's possible to enter something in the sculpting category on my behalf.

Technically, no we can't

" Conditions of entry

a) All entries must be entered in person by the person responsible for all the painting on the model (or the sculptor for the sculpting category) before noon (12 p.m.) on Saturday, March 21."

That being said, could you get someone who wasn't competing in Crystal Brush but was at Adepticon to pose as you and enter them? Maybe. Assuming you didn't win the big $10,000 check, I don't think anyone is going to look too closely at who actually dropped off and picked up the figures.

Thx Bailey for the info. You crushed my hopes and dreams lol. Not really. I expected as much but figured at least it was worth looking into.

Heh, while you're asking Jen Hayley about the bust category, you should ask her to make an 'Old Talent' category as well. For returning painters such as Tero. :)

Man away for a day and there are pages to read through, bust is amazing, great Colours and very harmonious the eye the EYES! They are great!

Mr eldar is looking great to, don't forget to push that contrast a little bit on every mini as you progress. I think AndyG has had a good break through on his reds too.

I was wondering why there isn't a Bust category myself. There are so many amazing bust sculpts out there and they really are something of their own.

BaM I have hated the Eldar for many many years, but again, you have made a beautiful piece! Fantastic reds and whites!
