Oo' Loving the base and the mini too. It has made me imagine a story, something like returning home after years of battling and find the earth dried and his home empty and dessolated...
waiting for a nicer picture of it on your gallery ;)

Voted. One note, it looks odd with the air gap between the two plinths. If there is felt on the upper one, then you should extend it to the edge. If not you probably need to flatten the matching surfaces. Using something like sand paper wrapped around a piece of flatt glass should give a true surface to match them.

i love the variety of minis you put out, but these historically believable ones are my favorites.

each krule what it is is there is putty on the the join that I didn't glue it down yet it's a test I always do but it's definitely noted if it goes to comp it will be glued down and stay flushed....I'm actually waiting on another base so I just gapped it with putty for now...thanks always for the eyes.

Voted too! I would crop the empty space around the mini by two or three inches each side of the pic and one or two at the top, then if you decide to keep that plinth? (not sure if its the correct name) I would shorten it at least one half. ;)
Cropped the image for you to see what I mean...

Oh It's not a difficult thing to do, just like if I have had the pictures printed and then cutted away with scissors.
Your pictures where so straight that I just cut away a part, join the other two again and it was almost unnoticeable. You should see the cutting point at the right side of the plint on the first two, and at the left side on the third.
And yes, I used photoshop xD ...but I think almost all of the photoeditors out there would do the job. Select, move, crop and canvas/image shrinkage was the only tools I've use on that.

I think it was Fluister?? who shared a link to a free version of photoshop (cs2) on another thread a few weeks ago. Can't remember it now...

ok have done a thread-search for you ;)

Photoshop CS2 is an outdated version of PS that was made 100% free. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles of newer versions, but it has everything you need to make photo collages for CMON. It's what I use. LINK

And Maxxx also shared another freeware program:
if you want a free software, then gimp ( http://www.gimp.org/ ) is what I'd suggest.
It has most (if not all) the needed features of photoshop. (canvas size modification, copy-paste between images, color corrections, crop)

Photoshop is a world in itself, it has a ton of tools, but the basics are easy, and don't be afraid by the amount of menus it has, you won't need more than a 5% of them.
I am learning a lot from you all and I will probably post an article with the essential things for helping you all out (I just need the energy/time for doing so!) it's the minimum I can do for the fellows around here that don't hesitate to share their tips, knowledge and advise.
