It is a very BAM figure. So, have you ordered one yet? :p

One day in going to challenge you to paint a cute and cartoony mini just to stretch your abilities. To be clear: I love your style of grit and blood. It would just be interesting to see what you did with something outside of your wheelhouse.

Maybe something like this:

LOOOOL that should be a challenge!! not a single blood drop nor scratch.... but I am completely sure he is able to do it ^^

PS: Here you can see the damage that a 3D printed quality miniature can produce to a very good painting work. (I think it's 3d printed, but I do not know, I just supposed this because of hte horitzontal texture/lines on the miniature)

How about something cute but with a bit of an edge for BAM?

But yeah, it would be interesting to see you do a chibi figure. Maybe a chibi primarch to go with your forgeworld ones

Or would it be too tempting to still cover them with blood, rust, and dirt?

Where does one go for Chibi figures? I've seen a lot through Super Dungeion Explore, but I thought those all came as part of the game and not individual figures. Are there retailers who have lines of chibi figures? It's an area of the hobby that I'm not all that familiar with

I love your style and would never want you to change! The idea is more a fun challenge to push your skills.

I agree,. I should say that BAM already does a good job of painting a wide variety of figures. He's got historical, fantasy, and sci-fi projects. He also works on 28mm, 54mm, and busts (~150mm or 200mm). But I'd say the consistent them is that BAM definitely leans towards a gritty/bloody sort of look. That's not unreasonable, since most of the figures are for war games (so dirt and blood fit). But, I agree with ArchArad, it would be interesting to see you go all out on a figure that is supposed to be clean. That could be a cartoon style figure like a chibi, a historical figure in parade dress (a Napoleonic, a knight at tournament, etc), a non-military figure (there are some nice female figures out there that fit this category), etc. It still needs to be a figure that interests you, but there are many options. Like ArchArad said, you could find it pushes you out of your comfort zone and helps you continue to improve.

You know me guys arch and bails are voices of reason....the bottom line is after crystal I think a cartoony figure or an elegant female 54mm would be exactly the thing I need to take me outside all this seriousness and just enjoy something different....if it can get me to improve ide def am interested in it....thanks guys it makes a ton of sense. Thumbs up from me.

Lmao, Guys and gals, you should know by now there are three things you don't do with Bam, no bright light, never get him wet, and never, ever ask him to paint cute little minis without blood from the blood god...or was it feed him after mid night? I can never remember but it always ends badly.

Soon enough my dear friend. Your a gem...

So guys ive picked up a ton of "hellderado" minis. They are gushing with blood and have half their skin ripped off and muscle sinew exposed!!! Boy oh boy def made for a a B A M paintjob. I've started a mercenary ., the sculpts are beautiful and sooner or later I fear these wonderful models like rackham will be obsolete. So I went for the dough and bought all my favorites. Between commissions I do what I call collection models. Not only do I live competing I love amassing my personal collection so in b/n commissions and competition like CB entries I try to finish some models to add to my curio. Here's where I'm at next up on him ill work the blending into the sword!!!!View attachment 46138View attachment 46139View attachment 46140View attachment 46141View attachment 46142
