Great start to the troll BAM and he makes a nice contrast to the Humies in the group. Should all tie together nicely once you have some elements of the pale blue armour in place.

And that's how i get most of my recipes lol, it's cool though,it seems like i know what I'm doing but it's just a couple of years of trial and error really. On a side note I went to get some new paints the other day, it's not a gw or even a gaming store, just a department store that has gw stuff in the toy section, they gave me a free copy of December's white dwarf which has alot of blood bowl stuff and they've just got the BB teams in too, it was very hard to resist, if i didn't already have 3 projects planned i would have picked something up

Look sicks I'm sure everybody has done this and some of us more than we'd like to admit. It's just the ol' paint alot get alot better by doing. That's how human beings evolve by doing, trying etc etc. wether mastering a recipe or just coming upon it . Since wet infants we learn by doing. How do babies learn to walk... By doing ... Falling and trying again wether bike riding or painting.the more you do (try) the better you get at something. There is I substitute for this. That is why from early dawn to the twilight hours I paint because there is so much more to stumble upon ;)!!!

Yeah, this is why I'm trying to boost my painting time, realistically i can do 4 hours a day and still get the usual household chores done before the kids come home from school but I've been getting too distracted lately.

As ling as your painting in a usual routine the gains will come. So 4 hours a day is fantastic and if you do more its that much better. ;)

I normally do 2 hrs a day but i get 6 hrs free time a day so 4 is a decent amount that also leaves 2 hrs to get chores done to keep the Mrs happy :D

Probably manage a couple of hours at the end of the day at the most here...quite often 10 till midnight before I hit the sack. Work, kids, wifey and day to day stuff chew up the rest. I travel a fair bit with work too so lose a lot of weekends in hotels....maybe I need to sort myself an aeroplane friendly paint kit for my travels....hmmm

I feel ya, I'm lucky if I can get an hour a day in. Sunday is the only day that I don't have any set obligations, so I can paint for longer, sadly not today though... I used to try and bring a small kit in to work to paint on slow days, but then my boss saw me at my desk and told me "NO"

Guys my point is a routine .. The thing is I have plenty of time being disabled from an old career in the fight game. This left me with tons of time to try and find a place again in the world. It was 20 years of my life being semi pro... Working up through the ranks was great but proved the be all end all of my sanity. I gave everything I could to athletics and it chewed me up a spit me out. Now after 5 long years I couldn't be happier especially after meeting my sweet babe jan. she pushed me and pushed me to paint more and more.. Research and then implement . In the end of the day as ling as there is a steady routine there will be progress. Guys who don't have as much as me it's still ok cause 2 hrs a day or two hours a week is 100s of hours a year.. And in this day and age of forums 2 hours a week goes alot further than it did 20 years ago. So just keep going men your all progressing. That's what I'm getting at. Painting 1 time a month ain't ginna do it. Hours a week will. Wether 2 hrs or 20 hrs with a steadiness and the forums we can all accomplish anything.so go forward my stalwarth band of warriors. Keep soldiering on to the crystal brush or the next biggest comp... And don't let em ever tell you you can't!!!!;)

You know routines like when I went to Jan's mom today for her birthday (sweet lady) and I bought my paints so I can use every minute of everyday to paint... Except when I stop to remind my self to breath !!!! You know routine!!!llllooolllll

Commitment; thy name is BaM.

Great tones on the skin for that troll, love the brown on the top of the bicep and towards the wrist, and the blue in the neck.
I wish I had the time to dedicate to painting, but life is getting on top of me at the moment. And in a few months various real life issues are going to reduce my painting time to near-nothing.

It's cool fox think bout it - you can't UNLEARN anything ....it just gets a bit rusty if it's not done for 6 months which I doubt that you'll be doing nothing for this time so your still ok .btw you leveled up quite a bit like 2 levels so if things slow down it's not like your still trying to get over the 2 level hump ,now your going for level 3/4 so no worries if you keep it in perspective.youll he fine.

Looking good BAM, love all the different tones of colors you use throughout the trolls skin! Looking at the troll and the orgen, I think they could be brothers with different mothers.
