Now the diversity of the all star team is starting to show. Really nice job with all those transitions on the troll, BAM. You've really set each muscle volume off nicely, revealing the details of the sculpt.

Speaking of leveling up, I've got my eye on this project, Mr. Medium...

Lololol thanks Dereke boy , I knew it wasn't a dream!!! Blast it!!! Lol all kidding it really is muscle memory baily calls it autopilot. Can't tell you guys how many times I repainted a part I didn't like, I used to get nervous and all up in arms if I had paint in my hand and transferred it to a model only to find out 2 hours later that gold paint dried on a face .. But now I just go on "autopilot" and repainted it with not even a second or third thought!!! It really is ingrained in the small muscles of the hand, eyes, and everything else that caters to great results.

Awesome looking troll I'm looking forward to painting mine but i need to decide a colour scheme, would be simpler if it weren't for all those green skin to es on the orc team

Hey sicks try out adding reds to the bulk of the shapes like I did any green you use just match the reds . So blue greens get a cool red light greens a pinkish reds its easy all you do is huhihht and shade as normal than glaze em on bout two or 3 coats making sure each is dry before applying. It's a games workshop article way back when and it was titled (red is the new green) they did it in orcs but you can use it in anything green.

Interesting, i might give it a go, i was wanting to avoid red because it's the same as the box art but I'm not really a sports fan so I'm at a complete loss for inspiration, tried Google but haven't spotted anything i like that would go with green skin yet

Look at it this way sicks wether box art or what I did it will never be exact the same because its sicks way if doing it. Most of the time I try to copy box art but my models end up never even close... They end up different because its my way of following what they have done. So even if you go exactly sbs of what your looking at you can be sure of two things 1) it's going to turn out awesome(you've been doing this long enough now to guarantee that, I've seen it) and 2) it will be very different but the same which means different after all!!! give it a whirl . I think youde do it up nice and be happy.

That's a good point BAM, like all your points haha. And it rings true I'm sure. We all paint in our own unique way and no matter what, something is bound to turn out differently.

Glad you like the idea. Can't tell you how many models(all of em) I try to emulate box art and it ALWAYS comes out diff but I ALWAYS like what I've finished. It couldn't work better! thank you again oct.

Well I've just put a lineorc together as a test model, already the ideas are starting to flow, I'll paint him up in between the dragon Huntress I'm doing, there's plenty of time spent waiting for bits to dry so let's see how it goes before i do the more fun ones

And just like that I've got my inspiration, turns out the Oakland raiders wear black uniforms, i overlooked them because the BB equivalent orcland raiders wear yellow, i need practice with black so bobs your uncle! Lineman as a test won't be too bad, if it goes wrong it's pretty easy to strip be plastic and I've got the troll to take his spot on the pitch

My biggest surprise is that i don't drink anymore lmao life is 10x more complicated now than when i drank as a youngster so you'd think i could do with a good drink but don't touch the stuff anymore (mainly because one is enough to give me a 3 day hangover lmao)

Thanks so much for your words FOXTAIL - I try very hard not just at painting a model but paying it forward to others to learn more and more. I don't know everything nor do I know alot. What I do know however I'm always willing to share as it may or may not help. The smallest chance that someone out there might try and implement something ill share and feel great when their done using some of my advice speaks volumes and means mountains to me.))
