everything is looking really good. That base is gonna be something else, I like it. placing my order for one on Monday but I'm gonna have her flat footed like a belly dancer or something. I really like the way the dark flesh tones look, I would consider keeping her dark.

Once the PvA had dried, I started to add some paint to the base, blocking in colours and also using some pigments for the floor. I'm still toying with the idea of water running over the wood and edge or not. The photo is washed out a bit, it was taken on my phone, the dark areas are a lot darker IRL. I have work in a few hours so will probs take some more pictures after a bit more is done to it tomorrow evening.

Here it is so far;

Right, managed to get a little bit more done on the base today, it's progressing nicely! Slowly been introducing more depth to the moss and wood with lots of purple and green glazes. Will start on the water feature today I think too.

Thanks guys. The only area that has had pigments applied to it is the actual ground, not the wood. The wood has only had paints. On the ground itself, so far I've used a mix of MIG Old Rust with a dab of Forge World Black Soot to make it a little darker nearer the shadowed areas.

Thanks man. I've started the water effects, quite happy with the flow of the water. Will have to wait until it's completely dry now before going onto the next stage which means the base will be left alone until Thursday I think. That just means I can continue with Daramis herself.

More work done to the base - white water river is progressing. It needs a few more layers of gloss varnish and maybe a little more depth of darker blues here and there. The more I work on the base, the more I feel like it won't fit the model. I might end up making another one for Daramis.

I was thinking the water was off on the earlier picture, but the work you did for the last picture really made it GOOD! If you do not use it for Daramis, you definately need to start another mini to put on it.

Not done anything on Daramis for a while, so I did a little bit of work on the red cloth today as well as doing the blue material around her waist. Here are a few quick pictures!

That's some lovely red on the cloth there. Really vivid. The base work is excellent, too.My only crit would be that the blue of the water seems a bit milky. Maybe some darker tones deep down would help, but I dunno how you could put them in now, after its all dry. It just seems the wood is nice and dark and moody, whereas the water is kinda pastel.
