This bust is awesome but her boobs are at really different levels, which strikes me as odd, since her shoulders are more or less level. I'm just gonna go with it, I figure even the best of bras is doomed if you've been functioning as the guardian of some ancient sacred spacecraft for the last 10,000 years and didn't think to bring a change of clothes.

Lol, I have never noticed that on this bust till you mentioned it, now i can't help but notice.

Yeah, I remember this! Lovely paintjob but WHAT THE HELL IS THAT. Honestly, if it's made of metal and isn't a domed breastplate, you're better off topless.

Anyway, seeing pics of you at CB with my homies reminded me that I should come have a look. Great stuff all around, and phenomenal improvement over this last year! Will be a pleasure meeting and beating you in Fantasy Single next year

I like the variety of colors on the bust's armor, but yes it looks challenging. I think that you should highlight both the Browns and yellows for your lighter colors, and this will bring it all to life!

I just don't like the purpley-red+tan. Not feeling it. Might do some sketches or something and see if I can't come up with something better.

Maybe a darker purple with the tan, or do you think that would make it too cold?

I really like the skin you've done. I kinda like the armor, at least the contrast that's going on. Cool flesh and warm armor, maybe tone down the redness and add some cooler tones in the shadows and it will tie together for you.

True met talc metals....you know my thoughts tmm all screwed up dirty and rusted.....but I kinda like the way you did the metro I'd league arm9r.

Thanks for the thoughts, guys. BaM, I'd actually thought about that--something about it being such a large scuplt makes the idea of TMM pretty appealing. We'll see.

I agree, TMM on bigger figures seems to work better. Although with a sci-fi bust you can do some neat things with colored NMM.

Nice to see some more pictures of Esh. I really like the colors, nice shades in the skin, armor, and cloth. Is that some purple I'm seeing in the shadows of the cloth and armor?

Changed some stuff around. I think I'm happier with the overall scheme at this point, still not 100% on the cloth color.



Bailey, yep! He's got a lot of blue and purple in his shadows.

Oh yeah, the hair looks way better. This is a really tough sculpt. I feel like you could push the red more in her skin tone maybe? The other thing that might be cool is a tiny bit of OSL coming from inside of the helmet onto her skin. Like she is looking at a read-out in side the helmet.

Demi, it's giving me trouble! In a good way. Feeling like I'm on the right track now. I like the OSL idea, but I'd probably have to darken the rest of her skin to make it work...we'll see.
