little update, was shot in a hurry so the angle isnt exactly perfect. actually really happy with the skinjob. now some classic obelix pants coming up!

Yep you should be happy. I think they call that skin tone "dusky." Great job. Cool tats. This one is gold bound.

todays submission; http://www.coolminiornot.com/379080 Kruuz by corvus corax miniatures. was done in a hurry before Salute 2014 mostly to promote the miniature. was, to my big surprise, finalist in that comp. the base is hideous though, perhaps i remake it someday.

I really like the base on your CC mini. Don't be so hard on yourself. The spider is a little bit soft but it's all
good, it kind of helps put it in the background as secondary to the mini itself.
But it did you EVER in your wildest dreams thing the Stir River Patrol would score so excellently? It is very deserving but CMON can be so fickle that you should be proud of that 9.7. That has to put it among the best of 2015. I commented on it awhile ago, describing your 5th D tutorial and that it took silver, but my comment never showed up!!!!

A very, very special mini to me. Remind me how you did the purple again? Your did warlock purple or whatever and then went over all of it with WN blue ink? And just added more layers of the ink for darker areas? Very curious on this.
This mini was also eye opening for me because it taught me the TMM gold technique that I will use forever. It should be an industry secret!!!

Also I never thanked your for the base idea on Cannibal. You gave me the idea to have body parts in a pot, and I just rolled with it. Great inspiration to me dude.

btw, the armor was painting with color bonanza basecoat lich purple, highlight warlock purple, shading midnight blue --> w&n blue black ink. reaper burgundy wine and smoke for colorvariations. think that was it thanks mate!
