cheers ive gained some speed here, as said, painting nmm goes soooOOooo much faster than my usual metal.

In the miniature world we call it NMM. In the oil on canvas world they call it painting.

That was a pretty an impressive canvas, if you weren't telling about it, I wouln't noticed it. Close ups, give a clue because of the texture on the canvas and a couple of strokes here and there but,hey it's amazing.
Just like those Hyper-realistic pieces of art that look almost like pictures. Terrific.

Because every thing you do is of the highest most extraordinary level when I say these are my favorite that's not easy to say.. Especially from a 14 statuette golden demon winner among other high level comp shows..truly MAGINIFICENT!!!

I don't want to lower of the paint job on the light of car, It is outstanding, but it is painted by photo. He painted the reflection of photographer too. It is another level to paint nmm on surface if you have no real object with same shapes before you to lead your eye and hand.

yeah im with you persifal (happy bday again by the way!). no disregard to the artist, but as said its a bit different to paint a big flat surface by photo than a little miniature in 3d. looks cool though!
14 statue gd winner, maybe in my dreams and there was fair judging hehehe ;P

heya folks, really been a lack of updates here lately, not been at the forums at all lately. ive had a major tom family crisis which really pulled the plug some weeks ago.
the pavise crossbowmen are finally finished anyway, now i have to paint some shields and a banner.

heya folks ok had a little break from the pavisers, worked a bit more on the barrow wight. another mini thats never going to be 100% done

On the skin are you going all the way to black or a very dark blue/purple? IMHO no one does undead as good as you.

That Wight looks brilliant. Did painting the pattern on the skirt make your eyes bleed?

@kretcher; working on setting the mood and stuff now, not entirely happy with the base yet but have to wait until spring so i can push the piece into a spiderweb or two
@krule; skin i shaded with a mix of old GW blue and smoke color, gives it a strange blue-green-brown shade which i like darkest parts is black+blue i think (painted him like a year ago)
@darth; yeah, it really is tiny pattern!
