Its shaping up beautifully skels, cant wait to see that rider done, i am about half way through my \nurgle guy, so i am interested to see how you do yours...

thanks folks :good: think i have to remove the banner from the guy competely to be able to paint it properly, damnit. more work...

Nurrrrgmazing! I love this Skel. Such nice painting mate and lovely nuances. The freehand is great, lots of details and some of your best work so far dude.

That banner is one of the best bits GW has ever done. They should just sell a box of those. I cannot wait to see how you paint it. Your freehand shows me where I need to improve, yours is amazing. I shall start trying to paint smaller, more intricate designs. Thanks for the inspiration, Skells.

okay been really struggeling with the banner. it is small and pretty much movement, easy to look cluttered and wrong...
first attempt, tried a small frog design with the frog on front. green banner. realized, the green will not work well with the rider later and the chaos star, well, suck. also, the toad is very small and would probably not look well regardless how many hours i invest in it.
so, on with nail polish remover. booo.
started out second design with dark red, as the rider's going to be yellow-green (as my plague bearers pretty much) this will siuts him much better, at least in my head. painted the frog, made a skull of the body and some three rings (a la nurgle) on top of the head. as above, the hard part is to make the pattern follow the flag while not looking akward. im pretty much happy with this design, or at least it will do the job i think. still got some cleaning up to do and fix the snails-parasites properly, and the wooden sticks is not painted yet.

so, hopefully time to start the real fun in this project, the rider! "unfortunately", i have a deadline in december. then i have to start working another mini which is a christmas gift. stay tuned...

started the rider, man i can understand why this mini is so popular, ill probably buy another copy or two later
just the basics done, wetblending using basecolour (cammo green) with some reds, purple and brown. started glazing a little using a mix of 1/3 purple 2/3 dark flesh, but nowhere near finished yet. im also happy to realize my conversion didnt left much of a trace, starting to slowly learn to work greenstuff!
...not sure what im going to do when i run out of the old range citadel colours, im not convinced by the new acrylics. anyone selling paint? ... boooo...

thanks! i can write a list of colors, i should start hoarding old citadel. the colours i really want an extra pot of is blood red, dark angels green, scaly green, hawk turqouse, scorched brown. these are colors i base much of my painting on and i have no idea how to replace (NO - vallejo game colors are NOT the same...). ill be happy for anything i can get...
