Oh noes! Don't leave us, Skel! I'm with the Facebook-is-evil crowd. I used to use it, back in the day, but it's gotten so bloody invasive in the last few years that its nigh on useless as a place to have an actual conversation with a group of people. It's just endless updates about pointless things that people who you haven't met for 10 years did last weekend when they were drunk. Call me a dinosaur, but I just don't get the point of social networking. It's not very sociable and it doesn't help you network.

Hey. Well, I actually use google+ and I like it a lot. I am just not a big fan of Facebook.
Yeah, I'm still here, and my life is finally starting to look like it will be able to hold some painting time by the end of the summer. I am planning to start my own wip here by then as well.

fixed my transport box a little to make it a bit less bomb-squad-ish!
got some statues from the golden vinci... here shown together with a blood maw, nom nom nom.
finished the horror squad!
playing with paper plants, mosquitoes and fruit flies... pimping the toad a bit
two weeks til games day... all stuff finished... so, i thought i shoud do something with this. half serious. terrible cast so...
then its time for the next biggie, a bishop warrior. first time historical!
thats it in short! happy summer folks!

you know it had been fun to make it an anti-bishop, you know lots of 6'es, crosses upside down etc. dont think it would be that historical though.

Skelly, you're not nervous are you? If you are, try thinking of it this way: With your track record, what you have under your belt, you will definately get some well earned respect from your fellow artists. So think of them as colleagues, and you're on a coffee break together.

But are you nervous about the competition or about meeting other great artists? I mean, you're in their league, you're of the same caliber. Otherwise you wouldn't be there.

well ill manage as Alexandra says, anticipation jiggers.
back to buisness then, im back to work, unfortunately, before i head to gamesday. so hopefully i can hangaround here a little bit more. heheee...
been working the nazgul a little, turning out really monochrome. and i am still really not sure why im even bother with this miniature but oh well. got an image here, but i realize its hard to see really whats going on with the base and such... think he turns out "ok", considering the awfull finecrap there. never buying that again! yeah right.
only + with finecast is that the mace-head is glued on the chain without trouble, as it weights nothing.

im yet to get a decent crapcast model. Forgeworlds resin have all been pretty good for me so far. Ud think GW would see how they do it and copy.
im guessing your metalics are done with inks? Looking great i need to try inks at some point.

well the metalics is whats left to do on this mini, except helmet. no ink on this one, only acrylics.
