cheers friends, think im happy with him, turned out pretty much as i imagined :)

ok new projects then, going to do a series of 32mm miniatures and also fix some old ones, a new base for Goliath and improve Siegfried. its for project "12+ minis to euro 2016" ;)
Build this guy, body is from corvus corax minis, head is a leftover from siegfried. realized its very rewarding to paint this size of minis without tons of details, smaller projects.

lost the shield and sword+hand in the move, so rebuilt him a little, more chaos. lets see what i can find for a shield. going to fix the ball chain a little better though need a slightly lighter ball :) wip pictures of the painting soonish.

Great job on Curze. The painting really captures the feel of the character.

And you've got a neat conversion on this new project. That should be a fun one to paint!

Lovely painting on poor anatomy.
I may not be an "expert" on asses but I have looked at a lot in my time.

Having studied anatomy I'd like to say that you're correct. That man has his hips too close to his ribcage and too far apart to be able to walk normally. :L

Hi Skellettet - I'm so pleased to have found your WIP. Your work is incredibly inspiring (I've decided to choose this option rather than being intimidated).

That's what I do too. I have no illusion of ever being as good as skel, but just watching and reading gives a lot of inspiration.

not much action here but i did finish the empire guys anyway, trying to keep the mojo up in bad times. another long hard road at the end. or more a boring one, heh.
this is not the final plinth though, but i keep breaking off bodyparts everytime i go near them now so i think i leave them alone for a while. happy to paint something else.

Argh. If we ever played a game of WH FB I would simply concede because of your paintjob. :p By the way, skel, hasslefree released a dynamic version of the female longsword mini. Here's the original, static version:

And here's the dynamic version:

Now that you actually play WH FB you should really bring her into your army. :)

By the way, I saw you're working on the Axenarf. What was your reasoning behind not using the helmeted head for it? Are you painting it up as an ogryn for your WH FB army? It's a really amazing mini, and it has a lot of metal, so I'm really looking forward to watching you work your magic on it. :)

thanks folks! :)

finn, really like the hasslefree girl, although i think i prefer the static version more :) axenarf is in ice again, doing more 32mm at the moment. oh and the reason for not using the helmet version... i dont like it. in fact i think the heads are the weak spots of that mini, dont really like any of them.

anyway been working some on this guy, trying a much warmer colorscheme. havent painted that much lately though... images are straight from the cam just cropped and resized...

Is this the first brown skinned mini you paint, skel?

I use a colour chart for reference when painting all skintones (because I am not good enough to do it straight out of my mind). It seems you placed the skintone somewhere between the medium and dark shades of african complexions (second and third row). It's looking really good.

Excerpt from the chart i use:

it is a awesomely looking mini indeed, yet i only feel anger looking at him lol. two years waiting, an in every way horribly bad ran kickstarter... seriously, ill stay away from indiegogo and kickstarter in the future.
