It's inspiring to witness such excellent and accomplished painters taking such risks. You've retained the 'ultra-contrast' style I've associated with your work since I joined these forums, but you're using bolder colors (e.g. the oil wash at the foot of the wall and elsewhere) and using color more boldly and thoughtfully (what you've done with the oil wash on a compositional level, and the balance between the lovely turqoise and carmine tones in this piece). You're way better at this stuff than I am, but it's gratifying to see the refinement of your process, though it may be years until I am prepared to apply everything there is to learn from it. Great work, my friend. If I had an award to give, this would get an award.
