Looking awesome, Skels. It's so dynamic, even without the charging figure! This is really top notch, my friend.
For the inside, perhaps you could do a pattern suggesting sort of dingy wallpaper, as Darth did on this awesome vignette. You could hide the rough bits with weathering, exploding bits of plaster, etc.
Could you perhaps explain a bit about your use of oil washes? I've never tried such a thing, so I don't really know why one would use them and what effects result specifically from that technique. Any help?

the oil washes are really just washes, i use regular oil paint mixed to a wash with white spirit. the benefit is that it flows out really aggressively in comparison to water based stuff, and not much water marks.
dingy wallpaper is a nice idea, right now id like to call it done but i keep that in mind

well this is really refreshing and its been a while since i actually longing to paint more, started out with a not so rare colourscheme with ice blue base.
very very wip no highlights or colourvariations so far, just shading.

well progress with big papa steroid smurf is going on nicely, not rushing that one more pictures soon.
here's some pictures of the finished Ulsor from corvus corax miniatures, although images became a bit too dark (had to brighten them up in PS) i have to retake them for my gallery if i ever update that one.

Lovely brickwork - must've been a bugger to paint. And the smurf is awesome - I think the little additions to the head really lift it.

It's inspiring to witness such excellent and accomplished painters taking such risks. You've retained the 'ultra-contrast' style I've associated with your work since I joined these forums, but you're using bolder colors (e.g. the oil wash at the foot of the wall and elsewhere) and using color more boldly and thoughtfully (what you've done with the oil wash on a compositional level, and the balance between the lovely turqoise and carmine tones in this piece). You're way better at this stuff than I am, but it's gratifying to see the refinement of your process, though it may be years until I am prepared to apply everything there is to learn from it. Great work, my friend. If I had an award to give, this would get an award.
