Tim\'s, well it still baffles me that his style appeals to anyone at all, so obviously this does nothing for me!
You dont like it? Swell. But, to make a comment such as yours, asserting that there is nothing of merit in such a style strikes me as very ignorant.
I personaly hate country music, BUT i will not deny it has its place, and requires very much talent if done correctly.
I personaly am a huge fan of the french style, i like a very dark, gritty, and super realistic model. But that being said, i admire tims ability to contrast that kind of model, with his electric use of highlights. It sounds like a cop out, but if you walked down a judging table of models, i guarantee you, that tims models will be one of the most notible on that table, and you WILL find yourself spending a great deal of time just taking in the amount of detail. And the honest truth of it is, there is nothing comperable out there. Please, Iono, send me a link to a miniature painter who has that same style?
In my opinion, tim has created a style, that is highly individual, carefully excecuted, and atleast a standard is maintained.
I believe someone in this thread made a comment illuding to this being a contest that relied heavily upon the amount of time available to the painters that month?
I think we all know, that when something takes high enough priority, one naturaly makes time. So that fact that tim painted this to his standard and represented himself, no matter how bad the model, how small the amount of time, or how much of a popularity contest this will become, says something in and of itself.
