Seeing as this company never seem to have focused primarily on the French market, I\'m sure it\'s just an error in the system.

By not shipping anywhere I guess they don\'t want to sell their figures then...and may well end up as a flash in the pan.

Actually, just looking at the prices again, I\'d agree with that Anders and FIAC

Having such a de-valued currency atm makes these bloody pricey though... It\'s almost £1 - 1 Euro atm so these are about 45%-50% more expensive in the UK than the rest of Europe I guess.

I may still have to invest though... they are NICE

Who cares, i would buy these if they were costing a million pounds each! They are so friggin cool looking!

I\'m glad I\'m not so easy to sell stuff to as you lol

As I said, they\'re nice but expensive... more so if your currency is the Pound :)

Talk about hitting the ground running! They do some really nice stuff; I actually haven\'t seen anything they do that I think is at all weak, even if it\'s not all to my taste.

I got a reply from SmartMax and they are aware of the problem, have apparently identified it and are working on fixing it. They expect to be done in a few hours. So, later tonight or tomorrow it should be solved! :)

I just tried to order Cornelius Fauchelevent and Jeremiah Crow but they don\'t ship to the UK atm :/

**edit but you knew that already judging by the previous posts I didn\'t read lol.

Cornelius is pre-order anyway, so I\'ll wait.

As Einion said... talk about hitting the ground running indeed!!

These guys sure are making a splash. How awesome is it that a forum full of fig geeks that are a complete bunch of \"Been there, yawn, done that\" crowd can collectively see a mini range and say wow, price be damned.

Well done Smart Max. I am looking forweard to the day I fight with one of these bastards, but I\'ll wait until I get my brush skills up a little higher. I seriously wouldn\'t want to tackle one of these guys until I thought I could do it justice.

Hope someone this side of the world picks up the range. CMONshop? DragonForge?

Wow!! Was just going to order 2 figures but cancelled as the postage is nearly £16!!! They obviously haven\'t realised that the UK is in Europe and that the package doesn\'t need hand-delivering to the moon. Ah well I probaly didn\'t need them anyway lol

This is an unfortunate effect of the French postal service. They\'re not the only French company with these prices. As soon as you put stuff in a box, instead of an envelope, this is what it costs, apparently. So, can\'t blame Smart Max for it...

Very true. But at that price, it looks like they put a tracking service on it.

I have bought from other French companies and paid that same amount in shipping. When those arrived they were handled as \"parcels\" instead of \"letters\". I think tracking is automatically included when you send something as a \"parcel\".

@Anders : in my experience, you have to pay for tracking, or else it comes with fast shipping services.

[edit]
As a side note, it\'s not forbidden to pack small boxes in a big bubble-envelope, as long as the envelope closes and doesn\'t look too stuffed :p.

Here in Sweden when you post something as a parcel or package you automatically get a tracking number. It is NOT, however, registered. That will be an additional service.

Yeah, sometimes I get the feeling that companies just send out stuff as parcels without knowing they could ship with a cheaper alternative. But, it depends on how they package the products.
