Wow, a couple things...

BB-That was the worst.

and these guys seem to really be making an effort. Awesome! They\'ve had problems, idinetified them and are making changes happen to solve them. Very happy that these guys are starting off like this. After Hell Dorado and Rackham doing as they did, these guys are looking good. It\'s early, but very encouraged. I may try to put an order in after all. Once they get shipping figured. Sending to Canada would likely cost me a friggin\' grand, and then a punch in the gut from the delivery guy when I can\'t afford to pay the customs.

Good for these guys!

I feel obliged to point out that my scenario is not an unlikely one, as often the delivery guy is my little brother!

Well they certainly have changed the shipping rates. Instead of being €15.90 to ship to the UK the rates are now an even €16 :eek:

I have emailed them to find out if this is for real.

16 is about the going rate for most French Post these days.. that is generally an insured post .. Aretefactory/ Kraken are the cheapest but their cheapest service doesn\'t have any way of tracking and therefore no insurance for the guys..
Been talking to a few UK suppliers and so far all have said that Smart Max want to go it alone to start with but as the lines fil and production invcreases they\' ll most likely look at other distributors... I guess that\'s a smart move on their part .. no point paying for loads of models to be made up to satisfy traders demands then not having them shift...

It seems that the more you order - the less the shipping is (at least to Denmark).

Not sure, I still love the \'proper\' R minis.
But these Smart Max ones are sooo niiice.

Just haven\'t got any yet and at €16 postage, I wont be either.

If that\'s what the French postal service charge for postage, that\'s what they charge.... I don\'t suppose Smartmax can do anything about it really. I hope they do as well as they appear to be doing according to the glowing reports here and elsewhere!

I\'ll just wait until they have a UK distributor I reckon - or until the Euro comes crashing down in value to the level of the Pound lol.

**aye, if you buy lots, the postage drops to 7euros (I\'m sure the original price was 7 euros for one item but this seems to have disappeared - I may be wrong though).

€7 is what Rackham charge no matter how you order up to €100 then it\'s free.

I am gonna be doing an orser in approx 3 weeks... I have no problems adding what you want onto my order and I\'ll post straight to you for a couple of quid.....

I\'ll be picking up the postage anyways and it all goes in the receipts to claim back for pile so just give me a shout on PM...If it helps I\'m happy to do it same for any other Brits...

e could start a kind of miniatures buying club..

Mr DH. If you can hold off on this until the 1st week of May, I have had it confirmed by Cedric, that Mei Lung will be released, and that\'s the one I really want.
