She looks great!
I have mixed feelings.

1) I applaud your decision! Getting out of your comfort zone is a great way to grow and has helped me in leaps and bounds!
2) Stop growing damnit! The rest of us are already struggling to even reach your level -_-
I will second these sentiments! Lol. The colors around the eye look realy nice. Great start.

Gorgeous work so far, Sproket. The overall subtlety of your pointilism technique (if my eyes are good enough to see it there) really translates well to the larger scale. It's always nice to see you start something new!

Well it looks like my love affair with bicarbonate of soda as a texture medium has come to an abrupt end!

While getting my minis ready for tomorrow’s showcase at GW Southampton I noticed a dusty white bloom on some of them! It has affected some minis where I’ve used the bicarb as a texture medium in, for example, rust or corrosion effects but it was quite pronounced. Most alarmingly although it’s been stable and unchanging for at least a year this all happened in the last few days. My best guess is that it is down to a change in humidity.
A dusting off with a clean dry brush retouching of the paint has fixed the issue for the moment but I’ll have to keep a very close eye on these minis.

As I’ve been promoting the use of bicarb and singing it’s praises I thought I’d better put this warning out quickly! I’m going to monitor the situation closely and look into a permanent fix (if needed) and alternatives.

I'm busy, busy, busy! I've put Akito on the back burner as I'm now prepairing for my next workshop. For that I'm painting the Abyssal Warlord from Scale75. I've had my eye on this model for some time and I thought he would be an ideal candidate for NMM. Once the prep and priming (YES PRIMING!) were done I got down to some painting and it's been a real pleasure!

A fabulous start on this great sculpt. Seeing you do NMM on this will be incredibly informative. I definitely plan on saving the photos for later reference!

Really impressive work. You're getting a lot of texture on the legs (in addition to the scratches). Are you doing a mix of stippling and glazing or is it some other approach?

This is looking very impressive. This is my favorite model and I'm glad you're painting it, you'll take it in an amazing direction.
