Thanks for the opinions Guys. That seems to to pretty clear as to which bust to take!
Borgossa was my first choice but then I over thought the hole thing and confused myself. There is a lot to be said for going with your first gut instinct.

It was very good day but over so quicky as time always goes fast at Salute. Borgossa got second in the large scale category!

Congratulations Sproket! :victory:

Your painting in general blows me away, but that bust in particular is one I love.

Congratulations, Sprocket. Your Borgossa was certainly one of the most impressive and inspiring pieces I've seen recently.

Thanks Guys!

With Salute over & done I went into a bit of a painting frenzy and clocked up a few late night/early morning painting sessions. The result ... the mother of all migraines!:dazed::sick: I won't do that again.

On the positive side I made good progress with the standard bearer. Most notably I altered the tentacles on the back. I felt the tentacle with the bell didn't sit quite right on the mini so I removed it and added a couple of plain tentacles.

While I always enjoy your work and love this unit, am I spying some cool new additions to your nurgle painting idiom? First, the green slime over the purple entrails look terrific. Second, that sagging thread of slime on the converted tentacles in the back looks great and really adds something to the piece. I've said it before, but yours are some bizarrely beautiful shambling monstrosities!
Your suffering for your art did yield some incredible results! Hope you feel better.

So much to do ... so little time:nailbiting!: But am I panicking ... you bet I am!

Focusing on the positive the standard bearer is done! There are a few tiny tweaks I want to make. But I'll do those as part of the final finishing off once the minis are based. Of course I first have to base up the 5 minis as a unit. I've made a start on that but there's fair bit of experimentation involved as I'm trying something 'different'.
