It really is amazing how such a planet can form, and even exist in such a system. Current planet formation theories favour gas giants being formed a fair distance from the central star - terrestrial planets are given enough hot time to differentiate into rock/gas and basically have all their gasses blown away by the star. What I want to know is how they know that planet is gaseous, and not a captured asteroid or something like that.
As for the universe\'s continued expansion, there has also been evidence that the expansion is quickening. If only we could figure out that dark matter problem, and work out the average density of the universe. Then again, there\'s also evidence of the universe\'s density being that required for linear expansion. One thing seems quite certain though; the universe has an infinite boundary enclosing a finite space.
