You\'re going to hate me for saying this, but I\'m not at all sure about the green or purple. I think either one would work, but both together with the red looks kind of \'carnival\'.

I wasn\'t that sure about the purple either, that is after all the whole point of a WIP,
and now that I think about it, I\'m leaning towards a hessian/sacking kinda color, a sort of dirty lightish brown maybe

Although it looks nice, I think the colour contrasts are a little too strong.

It\'s just a matter of personal preference though.

True, true! I reckon light brown would be easier on the eye, and if you did some subtle glazes of red and green it might help to tie all the colours together, too.

yeah, sounds good

I will be dirtying up the shoulder pads before I\'m done so they won\'t be quite as bright as they are at present

I\'ve already done some weathering, chipped paint, as inspired by giganticdarks SM WIP. I used liquid latex, then rubbed it off after painting the green

Looks great. I love the rustic, realistic look you were able to achieve on this one. The shoulder pads especially look great.
