Pretty sweet looted wagon. You're giving me motivation to try to one up it now with the one I'm working on. I love how the community pushes itself like that.

A little more work done this weekend. Worked on the big shoota and the cupola and magnetized the scorcha. Somehow (serendipity, I guess) I ended up with two nearly identical nozzle looking things is two different sizes. One's for the "mini" Mek Wagon and the other will be prominently displayed on the Big Daddy Mek version as well.
I also started bashing together a second deff rolla for my other battlewagon since the new FAQ makes this a near mandatory cheap upgrade.

izzat a tank form the modular chem plant scenery set?Also, ar you going to stick something on the back of those grabbaclaw arms so that they don't look like they're floating? I can't really tell if they're perminently attatched.

Yeah, this is a wip shot to get the gist of things. That's the next part is figuring out the connection point and dress up the deff rolla rightly.
The nozzles are part from a medical equipment manufacturer. A friend of mine is an engineer at one and he comes across quite a few bits and passes them on to me for my bits box. These are from remote catheter controllers - I'm just grateful they made them in different sizes!
Egads! That just sounds painful.
Is that tank big enough? I guess that I'm seeing something that comes almost level with the barrel of the front cannon/ drivers slit. Oh well. Suki you do come up with the most agreeable ideas and conversions, so.....

OK, small update to the workbench. Realized Idon't need to finish the 2nd deff rolla for the tournament (my list seems to work pretty good as is) so I decide to work on whatever struck my fancy. I tried working on the side door area of the looted wagon but that didn't work out so I went and worked on the engine compartment.
The parts used vcary from the rear fender sections from an Israeli Merkava tank, parts from the chemical plant kit, some odd random blue pieces from the bitz box and plasticard tubing.
It's kinda nice to work at my own pace for a little ( I know - to cries of "hurry up, I wanna see it painted!") while waiting for the Big Mek Challenge.

Didn't feel like getting out the knives and saws today - I wanted something a little more relaxing with a little less pressure on creativity, so off to painting. After painting up Zagstruck, I've decided I've got the knowledge and skill to tackle Gazghkulls armor now.
I've only done the knee plates so far and have decided to go with a red for accent. The teef on the right knee will eventually be white. I'm doing a few things different for experimentation sake. I've got a bottle of Tamiya Red (X7?) that I'm trying out as it's a nice vibrant red without being to "orangey" and I'm using Blood Red and Kommando Khaki to highlight the edges. We'll see where it goes.... Here's the pics!

Me too, Cheelfy!
Nothing too exciting tonight. Spent about 1.5 hours shading the lower half of Gazzy's mega armor. I'll most likely get to the edging tomorrow night. And yes, I know there's some sloppy spots - I'll eventually clean all those up.

OK - finished up the bottom half of Gazzy today. Cleaned up errant paint and completed all the little details like wiring and such. Sealed him up with dullcote so as to not remove anything I've already finished. I put his head and jaw on to see what it looks like together so far. Wierd for me to see it like this as I painted the head/jaw over a year ago. Nice to see it back!

yeah he's stating to look really cool. some dirt on the legs/feet wouldnt hurt though, he's sparkling!
