Damn, that is cool. Is it an actual product? A prototype? A bonkers concept?

Must...have...one....

I just looked on the site and it appeared to be 235 euros - which is a thoroughly depressing £217.00 (feck! I didn\'t realise the exchange rate was THAT bad!)

There\'s a cheaper one for about £175 that hasn\'t got the spray booth built in.

The only thing I wanna know is where can you store WIPs?

Peace and love...

I think this is one of those things that is better in theory than in reality. What happens when you can\'t fit all your paints in there? What happens if you have stuff that won\'t fit into those boxes? Is it comfortable to work on? I wouldn\'t dream of buying one of these, not even the cheaper one.

I reckon it would be good for travelling with, I would have loved something like this to take to Spain (or Italy later in the year), as setting up a painting area with decent lighting over there was an absolute pain in the arse.

With this I could have taken over a selection of paints, tools, basing stuff etc... and just flipped it open, painted then tucked it away afterwards.

Peace and love...

As a lover or containers and storage items, this is truly inspiring.

I do agree a bit with Ritual, as nothing is ever perfect, but this is VERY cool!

I think you would be better off buying a cheap metal case at a DIY shop somewhere, a compact halogen desklight that can be folded into something that takes up very little space, and then use the rest of the space in the box in the best way for what YOU need to bring. Get some smaller plastic boxes and put paints, tools, basing materials etc. in and stack them as economically (with regards to space) as you can inside the box. This will cost you a few tenners and it will serve you better. You don\'t need a portable spray booth, for instance... just go outside or put a couple of newspapers up in a corner if the weather\'s bad.

I\'m currently working on that... Trying to turn my brothers old GW carrying case with not a lot of foam into a decent case with compartments.

Peace and love...

Yup, I could have done with something like that 3 years ago! I made do with a big pile of tupperware containers instead (sans lamp). It was awkward as hell. I bet it\'d be great for painters who travel to do demos and painting classes as well. You might run out of room if you want to pack every single one of Vallejo\'s range, but if you\'re not averse to mixing some of your colours, it\'d be fine.

@Ritual: Bah, humbug! :p

You guys just like new shiny things! :p

I don\'t think this thing is better in any way (at least not in the way that justifies a price tag of 235 euro) than something you can put together yourelf for 1/5 of that price. You just WANT to think it will be much better for the travelling painter because you think the box is cool! :]

It does seem more \"cool\" than \"practical\", but boy is it COOL as hell. I\'d love something like that, but I\'d probably never really use it.

I\'m thinking of multi-day conventions like GenCon though, may be the only time it got used.

The best way to save me money would be to brainwash me into never buying another mini! Other than that, I think you\'re onto a loser there.... :p
