The seem to be dropper bottles as well though.
Just in case anyone is about to run out and fall in love with Adikolor... I\'m pretty sure that the company Adiken is kaput. I don\'t know the whole story, either the owner just let it all fall to pot in grief after his father died, or his company was tied into holdings of his father\'s company that led to financial issues when his father died, but either way,
all is not well with Adiken.
The paints are still widely available, and you should be able to find them on discount on several Web retailers as well for purchase in the set or individually. But I\'m not sure that any more will be made. They have a squatter dropper bottle than others I\'ve tried, and I don\'t recall having had much problem with the tips, but honestly I haven\'t used them extensively. There are some interesting colours in the range, and some areas of lacking colour (they originally intended to expand the line). I like their inks best of those I\'ve tried, but I\'m fairly deficient with ink, so I\'m not sure what that says. ;-> The inks weren\'t included in the suitcase release, they were released later. They also have some \'extra pigmented metallics\', which I keep meaning to experiment with and haven\'t gotten around to it, so I can\'t comment on that.
To my mind, the paint itself behaves as if there is a retarder in the mix. This helps a lot with layering/feathering, but may mean things take longer to dry than you\'re used to, and I\'ve had a couple of incidences of paint lifting and the like. Many of the paints separate and require a fair amount of shaking. I don\'t think it\'s as much as VMC takes, but more than GW or Reaper paints need. They would take some getting used to for someone used to other lines, I think, but that\'s true of most of the more modern paint brands. If you do want to try them, Dragonsbreath highlighted up with Sandstorm is a great quick skin colour (and shaded or glazed with something suitable, that part I vary). Umber, Battledust and the two browny-grays are other colours I really liked and found flexible.
For myself, I\'ve fallen in love with the Reaper Master Series. The droppers clog occasionally, but they need only a short amount of shaking, stick quick nicely to the mini, and have a great selection of colours. They have flow aid as part of their binder, so they flow nicely off the brush, and even more so if you add more of their nice flow aid mix (to which I am sadly addicted, as the empty bottles strewn around the paint room attest. ;->) There are some colours that are a little on the satin side (which I\'m told they\'re working on decreasing), and they also took a little getting used to, but that was only a mini or two\'s worth of painting, and now that I am used to them, I find it quite tedious to go back to less smoothly flowing paint. The brush on primer and sealer in the set are quite nice also. I haven\'t tried the metallics much yet to comment on them, and the inks haven\'t been released as yet. I\'m surprised I like them as well as I do. I\'ve been a paint junkie who would sooner turn aside a new mini than a new colour/brand of paint, but after using these for a year I\'m just not as excited to hear about new paint brand releases any more.
