:D quick message for Steelcult......the ReaperCon 2008 Sophie, the one that looks like a 1940’s pin-up girl. Anywho she will be on sale in the Reaper’s online store from May 15 to 18th. I’ll be ordering a couple for myself.

Okily dokily, I\'ve done three more bases. One with charadon granite drybrushed over black, a couple of fairly smooth rocks and a skeleton\'s arm (for which I finally used some RMS paints). Secondly there\'s one as Undave suggested with scab red drybrushed over black, a bit of slate-type rock also red and lightened a bit with red gore and a couple of tufts of wild/field grass which I darkened with orkhide shade. The third is a mix of both with the red drybrushing but without the grass and in place of it a half-buried skull. I wish my camera would hurry up so I could show you. I painted that red weed as well to make it fit better in scale and I have improved it, although I don\'t think it\'s enough.

I started painting an Oblivion style base to show Roger what I was on about.

Halfway through I decided to play Oblivion to remind myself what it looks like and I haven\'t really stopped since.

I love that game....

My eyes hurt....

I should probably stop.....

Just one more hour......

No :p

I just got back from Tesco and I was having to resist the urge to sneak everywhere and use charm spells on the nice looking cashier girl.

Who needs real life :duh:

Bah!

Stupid screaming bell. No two parts actually fit together correctly. The two halves of the bell itself are a different size to each other.

That\'s why I like the original Screaming Bell. I\'m hoarding mine against the day they actually make well proportioned Clanrats.

I don\'t particularly like the grey seer on the old screaming bell, and I like the paint jobs on the models at that time bright reds and blues), even less.

Now finish that base!

Have you got an umbrella, Liz? It\'s been raining today. Don\'t let that bother you, though. You\'re going to experience a typical English spring (and summer, autum and winter for that matter lol).

ENGLAND SWINGS

words and music by Roger Miller

England swings like a pendulum do
Bobbies on bicycles, two by two
Westminster Abbey, the tower of Big Ben
The rosy red cheeks of the little children

Now, if you huff and puff and you fin\'lly save enough
Money up to take your family on a trip across the sea
Take a tip before you take your trip
Let me tell you where to go
Go to England, oh

England swings like a pendulum do
Bobbies on bicycles, two by two
Westminster Abbey, the tower of Big Ben
The rosy red cheeks of the little children

Mama\'s old pajamas and your papa\'s mustache,
Falling out the window sill, frolic in the grass,
Tryin\' to mock the way they talk, fun but all in vain,
Gaping at the dapper men with derby hats and canes.

England swings like a pendulum do
Bobbies on bicycles, two by two
Westminster Abbey, the tower of Big Ben
The rosy red cheeks of the little children

England swings like a pendulum do
Bobbies on bicycles, two by two
Westminster Abbey, the tower of Big Ben
The rosy red cheeks of the little children

Hellooooo everyone!

Just thought I\'d pop in and say hi.

I\'ve been busy getting ready for guests that are staying with me for Reaper Con.

Aaron is here and has been enjoying himself. Last night he and Jeremie (bragon) stayed up until the wee hours of the morning painting. Jeremie was doing a last minute entry for Reaper Con to go up against the Reaper Artists. Hopefully he\'ll bring them some good competition.

I\'ve also got an attendee staying with us and she\'s been enjoying herself as well.

Other than that, work is . . . well work.

GD entries continue to be works in progress but I\'m getting somewhere at least.

And the damn IRS still hasn\'t sent me my check!

How goes it with y\'all?

Roger, I plan to stand out in the middle of a park and let the rain soak into my dry, desert ravaged bones. You have no idea what a blessing rain is until you\'ve lived in drought conditions (for a desert) for 15 years. I welcome it and want to see if my sinus\' still function like normal peoples do.

That\'s for the song Donna! :D

@Meg. Aaron was enjoying himself and you weren\'t involved?

@Undave. Ah, thanks. The red is lighter than the one I did, as is the grass for that matter. I think the issue with that is as it\'s for my grey knights, which have metallic surfaces, that I\'d want to add some red on the armour near the ground, and I\'m really not sure I want to add another stage to the painting. lol Of course some will get reflected naturally. If I don\'t use it for the grey knights I think I\'ll use it for a one-off mini, or maybe for my tau, but I haven\'t decided on a paint scheme for them yet.

@Liz. Well, if it rains or not, enjoy yourself!

I know it\'s crazy huh? But see Aaron totally has a man-crush on Jeremie and has threatened to leave me for Jeremie.

Though now Jeremie has adopted Aaron and I as his parents. He said I make a very good mother for him and he called Aaron dad the other night.

Apparently Jeremie approves :)

And yes I am being a slave driver. None of us have gone to bed befor midnight.

But hey my GD Unit entry is getting done and pretty well. And Monday I have my paint lesson with Jerems. So it\'s at least a productive weekend.

Maybe it\'s the French accent. I don\'t know, you get into a relationship and are on your way6 to possibly be a step mother to a couple of kids and now you have a grownup son. Things certainly move fast in your world.

EDIT: I just looked at my crunchwaffle account and it says my order is still pending. The money doesn\'t seem to have gone through and it\'s been more than two weeks. :(

Thanks for the heads up Roger. I\'ll nudge Dan and Andy for you to see what the deal is. Did you order any new releases? That may be the hold up if they were having any trouble getting minis shipped to them.
