Having a sweet tooth myself, I don\'t think there\'s much difference between GENERIC UK/US confectionery...

I think recognisable BRAND names have slight differences - probably due to ingredients issues etc, but on the whole most thinks are the same.

Having said that, I HAVE noticed that US fast food is a LOT greasier (At least the places I went) than the UK... I once went to a MacDonalds for a cheeseburger, and the grease leaking from the burger made the bun soggy :|~

So yes our candy is sweeter than chocolate but it\'s the same as what you might call taffy I think.

Chocolate is chocolate over here we don\'t call any of our sweets candy unless it is something named so when it is brought over here.
Our chocolate is a lot richer in coco than some European brands and there has been times when Euro MP\'s have tried to make it less so but haven\'t suceeded yet thankfully.

But all the times I have been to the States I haven\'t noticed a big difference in taste etc between what we have here and what you have over there

Squiggy doesn\'t fool me (anymore) but I think he\'s got Ms Post and Nurse Brunhilda wrapped firmly around his little finger. They are both softies under all that growl and huff.
