Yep, sent by courier.

@Undave. My next game will probably be a league game but the one after that will be against the new guy, although he\'ll be bringing his own army, smurfs. He still won\'t have read the current SM codex so I\'ll have to take it with me so he can come up with a quick army list. Whilst he\'s not been playing GW games (well, except for Necromunda) he has been playing other miniatures games so I may find something else to collect an army for.

Well I\'m two votes off the big 50 with Da Kernul, I\'m looking forward to seeing what this does to my CMoN ranking. I\'m still a few to go with the Commissar bust though.

I know I shouldn\'t really care about the votes and the rankings and whatnot but these are two out of the three minis that I\'ve actually finished to a standard I\'m happy with showing off on CMON since I started posting here.

If you haven\'t done the votey thing do me a favour and check them out :drunk:

I voted already.

And now for a grumble at the government. Dave Wise, the co-founder of our gaming club, told us yesterday the government is bringing in some legislation which is going to tax things such as out club as well as theatre groups and such. It\'s also going to be backdated and that could bankrupt the club. He may have been specifically talking about the hammerhead show. The people he spoke to treated him like dirt and also insisted on treating the club at a Limited company, when in fact it\'s a volunteer organisation. He also spoke to Paul Holmes (or someone who works for him), the MP for Chesterfield, but because Dave himself is from Bolsover, he was not interested at all, despite the club being in Chesterfield. The labour party folks were also not interested. Only the Tories were. It seems to me that if all these clubs and societies (which will include youth clubs) get taxed like this, a lot will struggle to survive, leaving less for folks to do. That could mean more youths hanging about on the streets and such. Great job there government! :flame:

Roger that doesn\'t sound right at all especially given that most gaming clubs only cover the costs of the hall.
A small business can avoid paying NI if they are earning less than a couple of thousand and when it comes to the tax man when it takes out the running costs which can be put in the tax returns you are probably only talking pennies.

I would say have a chat with a tax adviser on this it sounds to me like somebody wants your group out.

I\'ll leave it in Dave\'s hands as he\'s an accountant, I think. I may not have understood the details but I definatelly heard him say it could bankrupt us. It may have specifically been about the hammerhead show as they were also asking whether the traders pay tax and so on.

Bet it\'s not as disheartening as when Fran & I get them. (Having said that Fran\'s been asked for her bus pass twice now :D )

As for the Taxing Clubs WTF is that all about?
Is it just me or has Labour betrayed it\'s origins?

Could possibly be the show side of things but most traders can claim the tax back as they are self employed and show organisers should be able to claim a big proportion back as well but I agree it doesn\'t bod well for any of the shows if that is the case we could be seeing a lot less shows in this country. :flame::cussing:

Well, boys, most of you won\'t be seeing me for a few days. I\'m heading down to San Diego to take a class from Jeremy. I\'ll be gone from mid-day tomorrow (Today for all you people in Europe) and going to see Wiccanpony. She says she has something for me and we have gossiping to do. Then it\'s out to the class on Friday. I\'ll be home on Sunday really late (when most of you people will still be in bed) so I\'ll probably talk to you all on Monday. I hope to get some pictures while I\'m there.

Will you miss me? :innocent::D;)

*walks over to the bar and sits down. Then proceeds to bang his head on the bar, repeating \"have to stick to the plan, have to stick to the plan*

Today, I tried doing some more of that script. Also today I had to strip two shoulder pad scrolls. I\'m going backwards.

Barman can I have a bucket of Guinness and a barrel of Morgan\'s Spiced and coke to chase it please.

I have just suffered a hard drive crash on my main computer and can\'t even get it going in safe mode so basically I have lost everything for the last 8 months including hundreds of photos and work I need for a course in a weeks time

The really annoying thing is I was going to back it up onto a potable drive as soon as I had finished cooking a meal :(

Try it in another computer before you lose all hope. The same thing happened to me a while back and I managed to salvage almost everything on it by plugging it in as a slave drive in my old PC.

I could give that a go but I don\'t hold much hope for it, I run the drive as a 2 disk raid 0 (striping config). The main reason I hold no hope for it is that I had a simular crash in 2004 and lost a lot of video footage and photos from an incident in 2002 and puting it on another machine then didn\'t help as I still couldn\'t access the files/XP wouldn\'t let me.

When it first happened I got a frozen blue screen that said it was carrying out a memory dump. So I rebooted but couldn\'t get back in then managed to get in on safe mode and tried to roll back to a previous point for recovery but it died half way it seems, now if I try safe mode it just goes onto a continuous restart and if I try to start it on last known good configuration it gets as far as the windows splash screen and then reboots itself.

The really annoying thing with it is all the work I have lost and a lot of the contacts from my outlook list and the fact that as soon as I had finished cooking tea I was going to back it up onto a portable drive ready for when I go away.

Bubba, irish coffee please.

What a weekend! Helped Donna, painted for 3 days and met a bunch of cool people. Jeremy is a wonderful painter and teacher and if you ever get to meet him ask him about \"feet finger\" and \"pacifist marauders\".
