I think that I\'ll have to do a bit of a comparson survey before I can judge if he lives up to his name. I think I\'ll start with YOU! Follow me please !

Erm.....not yet BD. I need to have something to compare you TO. I need Undave at the moment. Then.....hmmmm.......Ubie then Roger ...........oh they can line up as they want. I plan on extensive research. I may even have to make molds and detailed drawings just to make sure. When I\'m done with them I\'ll see where you \"fit in\".

Only if they ask me to. No, I have a casting kit that should do the trick. The molds are re-usable too.

Hmmmm.......a side business in these tough times? Might just be something to look into! lol

You might want to \"exagerate\" Ubies a bit otherwise people might think it\'s been modelled in 25mm scale

So it looks like we\'re off to a good start in my survey with Undave. Fairly impressive. Who\'s next?

Not sure the house wants a cut of that. Looks like them boys have already been cut.

If you get my drift.

I will have to compare you as well Bubba. Wanna be next? I\'m sure you\'ll set the standard around here. You usually do.

Rum and Coke please Bubba. Make it a double shot. Ahh.... good stuff. Thanks.

There\'s a local art store that\'s going out of business. I never even heard of the place before. It\'s on a little side street in downtown Chandler. Anyhoo, I heard in my ceramics class that they were selling stuff for 50% off, so I made a trip down there. Ended up talking to the owner and bought a potter\'s wheel for $500. Not a bad price! Put it on the back porch and I have been making lots of stuff. Particularly mugs. Love those. :D

I dunno if I\'ll be able to get to Sigvald this Sunday, with the prospect of playing with clay again! :) Follow the banner link in my signature if you\'re curious about some of my pots. ;)

Matt, do you sell stuff? I love hand thrown pottery and have a particular weakness for pitchers and covered jars and bowls. I might be interested in getting something from you.

I\'m actually looking to get into that market. I\'ve been practicing speed/production throwing and starting to get the knack of it. Now that I got a wheel it\'s much easier for me to churn out lots of pots :) rather than have to go into the college during lab hours.

Since I\'m going to be making a wide variety of stuff to put on my website, let me know any colors/sizes/shapes you might like and I\'ll be more than happy to make them, and if you end up liking some of the pieces we can surely work something out. :D

I love pitchers too. I actually have over a dozen in the works right now, as Christmas gifts for family. :)

Cheers,

-Matt

Ah... I\'m nursing a rum and root beer right now, so I won\'t trouble you for anything Bubba.

You throw Japanese style? Do you ever throw \"off the hump\"? That\'s very popular with Japanese throwing. I\'ve never got the hang of that, it\'s always difficult for me to judge the thickness of the base before I cut the pot off, and it ends up either too thick or too thin and the base breaks during trimming.

Post some pictures of your stuff!
