How do Tamiya acylics compare to some of the other brands such as P3, Reaper and Vellejo? I've been using all 3 and some GW but I've used Tamiya smoke, which gives some really nice effects and I'm just wondering if it's worth investing in some of their other normal colours.
Plus I like the twist off tops too, and that there is a colour code on top, which will make them easier to find on my paint table. Something I absolutely hate about P3 is the flip tops of their paint pots. I'm finding they eventually break and then when I go to flip it off the lid falls off and I get paint all over the place as the lids rolls down my clothes. Maybe I'm just clumsy? I do like P3 paints so I put up with this minor annoyance, though it would be nice to be able to open a paint pot without having to take extreme care.
