Sure look no further than Lovecrafts novella At the Mountains of Madness also the graphic novel by I.N.J Culbard.
I was getting tired and bored of painting for game systems, armies etc. So I wanted something fun to paint that would recover my burnout. It did just that I'm pleased to say.
