Whenever I go four wheel driving with mates or the family I always go looking for tree roots and twisted bits of vines and stuff ,rocks leaves anything that would look cool.this one is a tree we call over here a privet ,it's a weed . But up river in the really hard ground the roots are very stumpy and deformed .i have based the main part with this and then added vines with sculpting wire I get the wife to buy me from spotlight .
cheers Digga

You guys crack me up , I guess we do live in a fairly dangerous place my kids have learnt from an early age how to handle the snakes and spiders around here and I'm lucky the my two hairy mates the live outside. ( staffy and a dalmation)are great at killing the red belly ,copper heads and Browns that try to get into the yard from the property .
I'm fairly well into Teros Wolfen but don't want to send pics it will be more suspense for you brother.
will have pics of my marine tonight ,got the day off tomorrow so will be able to get a heap done.

Thank you so much guys much appreciated ...got some more work done on my marine and jet pack today but also mucked around with some bases and there role in portraying the figure with size and situation . Check this out .
In the first picture is Constantine standing on a 2" by 2" plinth with brick base ,because of the size of the bricks Constantine looks big..he has a lot of impact he also looks like he is somewhere large like the capital of Terra or a large castle or Bastille .This is not done by the placement of the figure ,the colour or anything else but the relationship in size from the mini to its surroundings .

Ok so now here is the same size plinth with the same figure the only difference is the size of the bricks in the base .He even looks smaller in the second pics .

I just thought it was interesting to show how a figure can be changed by the size difference between the mini and its surrounds ,this would also work with a pillar, tree ,stone work or a statue or how thick a wall is or how big a door or part of a door or staircase is.
sorry for my ramblings .
cheers

The second picture looks like he's gone on a shopping trip to a quaint village with cobbled streets. I like to imagine he has just had some homemade fudge and is now deciding whether to buy the elderflower or black current jam
