With such a wide knowledge of minis available on CMON i was wondering who makes the best Dragon ?
My personal FAVE Dragon is DRACO/DRAGONHEART ,but I dont think any one does a model of him.
Anyone out there recomend a cool Dragon mini :flame:

well..

I collect BIG dragons...the ones I have:

* Forgeworld Chaos Dragon
* Forgeworld Fire Dragon
* Magnificient Egos Colossal Dragon (http://paizo.com/image/product/catalog/MEO/MEO4011_500.jpeg)
* ral partha dracolich (sculpted by our very own, Dragonforgedesign :D )
* ral partha great red dragon
* ral partha Takhisis
* reaper Kaladrax (dracolich)
* reaper marthrangul

Of them..my favourites are the Magnificient egos dragon, the FW chaos dragon, and both of the dracoliches.

My favorite is GW\'s dragon master dragon.

The pose is excellent, and it doesn\'t look like a wyrm, like GW newer dragons do.

There are so many dragons out there how are you surposed to choose just one ???

I quite like the Reaper Dragon Kyra and Lavarath I think it is.
I also liked a lot of the Grenadier dragon series they did years ago :D

GW Great Spined Dragon. The yardstick against which all other dragons must be measured.

Got to be said though that in this age of so many cool minis, it\'s surprising how few dragons there are that are even halfway decent.

It did have paper wing membranes. Probably not the easiest thing to assemble but it\'s still a freaking monster amongst monsters :)

I still have mine, half painted and about ot undergo a rerpaint to something I like, the spined dragon\'s wings were membraneless and you had to make these yourself out of paper. This was quite triky to do but rewarded patience.

I recall that they gave you a template for the wings, something that a lot of people these days have either lost/misplaced or threw away without realising they needed it :D

I can\'t remember , are possibly right on that I was alot younger then and probably lost it if it did indeed have such a thing, I may even have not seen it at all lol, the thing came in a box with a black and white print of the drwing on it and it was packed in all that stryene stuff , I see to recall that the box was alot bigger than I expected and when I got it out I thought it a bit over the top.
The Chicken Dragon which to me is the mother of all Dragons and had the same wings as the Great Spined Dragon though the pose was different and it was alot bigger, but I did manageto get one of those from a very kind relation at the time and to this day I have never put it together. One day though I will.

I must vote for Ral Partha\'s Great Red Dragon. It has way too many parts and needs quite a bit of filling of gaps but looks great when painted well.

I want to sculpt a properly scaled Tiamat and a great wyrm D&D red..based on the artwork of Gauth from the FR setting, but to do it to correct scale, it would need to be 5 or 6 ft tall, and 8 or 9 long!!!!

maybe long in the future, I can work on how to do that :p

I will prob make it 3 feet tall instead..so not to proper scale but much larger than any others to date.

Not in a million years, I saw it on the front of the Citadel miniatures catalogue of that year and drooled over it and then by the fortunes of relatives I got one.
Now it is mine forever.
