The Bloodletter, the Terminator and the Pillar

The scene still looks great, but you really need to get rid of all those mold lines on the plastic parts ;)!

Hee-Hee! I haven\'t even begun to do any clean up yet. I always leave it until I\'ve got the poses right before that particular fun task begins ;)

The only figure I\'m having trouble with working out the colours for is the Terminator.

Haven\'t come to any conclusion on how to paint him!

I prefer the second scene as it has far more dynamic postures in the Bloodletters reaction.
My one point would be that the terminators hammer needs to be lowered to be more in line with the midriff of the BL as that seems to be the point of impact.

could you do him as a grey knight? would fit the scene

Lookin\' good. I\'m excited to see progress on this duel. I agree with DR though, you should line the hammer a little lower with the daemon. Also, if you paint blood from the daemon, make it a greasy black ichor that way it contrasts with the color of the Bloodletter.

Cheers,
Jake

I like the second one but I loved what you did with the first, that was so friggen sweet! You should try another with the first idea and have the pillar falling forward with the letter driving down toward the termie.

Well, the hammer will be changed a bit, but the impact point has moved to the mouth bit (hence the flying jaw!). I still think it\'d be enough power to have caused the BL to fly back into the pillar (I hope), but it also just gives a little bit more colour to the scene (again, I hope!).

Thanks for all the feedback guys! It\'s a huge motivator for me!

I really like what you\'ve done here. In regards to the hammer I think it\'s in the right position but the way I imagine that strike would be almost a backhand from his left hip and up to the right so the head of the hammer would probably be a bit more horizontal. I\'m really looking forward to seeing this come along. Good work!

Little update. More work on both figures - mostly some GS fill-in for the BL, but a twist of the Thunderhammer, and work on the shield for the Termie. The poses are almost right (in my mind\'s eye...) now, but unfortunately I\'m going to have to cut the thunderhammer arm off and shift it up ever so slightly as from other angles it just sits slightly too low and looks a little wrong. Still, I have my trusty saw so it shouldn\'t take too much effort!

It\'s a good suggestion - I was thinking along the same lines!

Absolutley loving this one!!!

When you get round to getting some paint on it, I reckon the storm sheild would look good so the two halves look hot and are glowing like the cut is fresh (kind of like when metal heats when it is cut with a blowtorch.... well exactly like how metal looks!)

Just a thought, hope it makes sense!

Keep us posted, I wants more!

Looks awesome so far! I especially like the terminator\'s shield the wiring sticking out of it is a nice touch. The termies pose seems kindof like he is falling backwards though, not putting his weight behind the swing. Did the bloodletter get the jump on him?

You tried swingin\' a sledgehammer full pelt? :p
I think the posing is really well done at the moment - look forward to seeing a couple of different angled photos tho :)

DaN, I\'ll admit, I haven\'t tried that...maybe I\'ll go to the local Home Depot and try a few out. Either way, I can\'t wait to see how it comes out! Keep up the good work Joek!

I think I know what you\'re driving at! I\'ll be cleaning it all up a bit so there won\'t be any \'excess\' sand around the place!

Have to say that when everything\'s placed (I\'ve just had a play around with some blue-tack:) ) you don\'t really see much of the base at all!

I\'m getting such itchy feet to start paint though...still a few things to sort out :(
