Weeeeeellllll..... Dammit! I thought I had something there. Why won\'t people just alter themselves to fit my nice neat little judgemental viewpoints and realizations?

I can see and agree with what you say about Lovecrafts stories. Thanks for giving me a little insight into what you take from Lovecraft, I appreciate that!

I think you may be on to something there about my reading interests. Since you\'ve mentioned it I enjoy very little from about the 50\'s and earlier. I read them and can appreciate that often they were cornerstones and inspirations for the genre they are part of but rarely do I find those works to hold up to their modern descendants that have often taken and improved on them.

Look at you bringing me closer to self-realization! Thank you SIR!

Right, let\'s put this baby to bed...

I never did finish the book and I passed it back to my mate with the suggestion he never put any like it in front of me again :D

Turgid and tedious - the interesting language can only go so far in making it remotely interesting.

I\'m not a fan...

Exactly! I found I could enjoy his style in small doses, but I couldn\'t sit and read it without my mind wandering on each page. I\'ll put it down to experience I think :D
