the dumbest mini related question or situation

To clarify Reverend\'s quote about chips;

Chips are fried chipped potato (French fries, steak fries etc)

And it\'s meant to mean that the girl was eating chips whilst having sex

And that sounds more like a North Wales/Anglesey girl to me boyo ;)

For Fun. What else:)

Not a question , but stupid:

several years back someone in the german Confrontation forums found an ebay offer for
\" a super rare , ultra limited Nurgle Demon Miniature, sold out for years \". The Mini was sold for about 100 Bucks . only problem was that it wasn´t a limited demon, not even a GW Mini, it was Confrontation Mini (some fat goblin)
one could buy at this time in every shop for about 12 Dollar.

I always found it entertaining, when I was running painting classes at the LGS,
that I\'d be wearing a name tag, so I could be identified readily.

\"Hi, My Name is Scott\" on my chest.
In VERY large writing.

And being asked if I was Scott by people coming for the classes.

\"No. I stole his name-tag, though.\"

I also laughed a lot when people walked up to the counter, which is adorned by
M:TG card displays, to ask if the store carried M:TG.

I\'m sure some of them ask dumb questions on purpose.

I was at the painting table in the back of the LGS recently, listening to my iPod and painting. Let me stress that this table is in the very BACK of the store, and to get to it you must pass all the shelves and display racks of product.

A lady had been browsing the aisles, and finally walked up to me with an attitude and asked where the Sega Dreamcast games were. I said \"Sorry but I don\'t work here\" and went back to painting. I figured she could go find out for herself or ask the employees.

I guess no one can tell that there are no video games, even when the shelves are full of Warhammer and board games.

The dumbest thing, apart from the post I made in the other thread, that started this whole thing, is some guy, after having looked at my stuff and being impressed by it, asks me \"Why do you do this? I mean, it\'s incredible, but I don\'t see the point.\" What do you answer to that? ???

Sorry to quote myself... I know that\'s bad form, at least in academical circles... But what I meant was, if the guy has seen what, in this case, I do and is impressed by it and see the craftsmanship of it and still don\'t understand why someone would spend time on doing it, what can I say that will make him understand? That, to me, is far more stupid than asking \"newbie\" questions... Stupid in a really sad way, because that guy will never, ever get it...

I was doing a demo at my LGS and had been painting for about an hour and a kid comes up who had been there, give or take, for the duration - he even asked a couple good questions. I stepped away to take a break, and came back to him bent over staring at the mini I was working on the whole time. The question was: \"Wow! Did you really paint that?\"

(To this day I ferverently hope it was rhetorical and meant to be a compliment, but I have so little faith in most of the up and coming generation that I had to chalk it up to stupidity.)

As cheap as people are, this one always amazed me when I worked in a game store. We\'d do a big sale a couple of times a year, buy one, get one of equal or lower price free. We\'d post a placard at the entrance of the store, 8\"x11\" signs every two feet on the shelves in the store, and pepper a bunch of products but not all with Buy One Get One Free stickers. And to top it all off we\'d offer to explain the sale to every customer that walked in if we were free.

And without fail, every time...
\"Are you having a sale?\"
\"Is everything on sale?\"
\"Is this on sale?\"
\"Can I just buy this one thing and pay half-price?\"

Or the old couple who spent like 30 min in the store searching for something exactly the same price as the thing they were buying to get every penny of the discount coming to them. But they didn\'t like any of the other things. Just buy two! Or get something for a friend. Or suck up something $1 cheaper and get out of my hair! Occasionally we\'d have people who\'d just not buy anything else and pay full regular price.

Probably the absolute stupidest question I ever heard in the store wasn\'t directly game related.

Very stupid girl to boyfriend: What\'s 70 plus 30?
Mind-numbingly stupid boyfriend in reply: 120

YOu mean they have chips in Anglesey?! Having been to Holyhead, I came to realise that the South Wales area is pretty bloody swish lol.
