I also like dullcote, but it does wierd things to some of my Citadel paint blends. Also have problems with metallics and dull cote. Maybe I need a new can :p

The guy looks great! Especially like the work on the face, and the purplish colors...

Ard coat for protection, then Dullcote to sort the shizzle out...

I managed to find a few cans when i first joined cmon.

Problem is that due to regs, spray cans can\'t be shipped internationally. I got some off here and some as roughing spray from a magic shop.

Dullcote really does rock tha hizzule as the kids say.

A vast improvement and a good, very different colour scheme you have going on there. The main armour with the turquoise highlights is particularly cool and I like the base too.

And now for a bit of a thread hijack if you don\'t mind! Averlorn, I\'m interested in your comment.

I\'m guessing it is because you make display pieces and want to keep your paint job completely untarnished. Do you feel that you don\'t need to protect them because they aren\'t really going to be touched much?

I had assumed that most of the painters in the upper echelons used Dullcote (and having seen how rough the GD judges can be with models it would make sense to me) but after seeing your hatred of varnish I\'m now wondering if I should avoid it. Does it not cause concern for you leaving your models unprotected when you enter them in comps and have you ever had any disasters?

Just so I dont have to make another thread...

Can anyone verify this:

\"Right now I am using Testor\'s Dull-Kote. It, too, provides a great dead flat finish, and is very tough. I\'ve been told that it tends to yellow slightly over time, but is really only noticeable on a white or very light, cool color.\"
